Abby Wilson never expected Nashville to become home. Two years after losing her parents, she’s ready to live again. As the younger sister of the Nashville Iron Stallions’ star quarterback, Abby has spent years on the edge of the football world. Now, fresh out of college, she joins the Stallions’ cheer squad to be closer to her brother and have fun before she starts her career in marketing. Instead, becoming a cheerleader just puts her even closer to Josh—the one man she’s spent years trying not to want.
Josh Mackenzie has earned his reputation as the Stallions’ veteran star tight end. At thirty, he knows better than to fall for a cheerleader. Especially when dating one is against league policy, and the one who caught his eye is the quarterback’s little sister. Abby should be easy to avoid, but somewhere between meeting her when she was eighteen and now, at twenty-two, she became the woman he can’t stop thinking about. So, when she looks for love elsewhere, Josh does what any rational man would do: he sabotages it.
What begins as stolen glances turns into secret meetings and grows into something neither of them can control. It was simple—be honest about their relationship after the season ended. But their secret was never meant to stay buried, and when the truth comes to light sooner than expected, the fallout reaches far beyond Abby and Josh, threatening her family, Josh’s friendships, and the Iron Stallions.
