Fantastic.

I need a shower. Coffee. Possibly another coffee after that. And clean underwear that didn’t spend last night somewhere in Dean’s house.

I’m pulling on my jeans when I spot my pill packet beside my toiletries. Right. Probably shouldn’t forget that, considering my boyfriend has the self-control of a teenage boy whenever I’m naked.

Pot. Kettle. Whatever.

I grab the packet and push today’s pill through the foil. As I’m about to swallow it, I notice another tablet still sealed in the previous row.

I frown and check the day printed beneath it.

Wednesday.

No.

I count backward through the packet, my stomach twisting when I realize which Wednesday it is.

Two weeks ago.

Fuck.

I missed a pill two weeks ago. How the hell did I not notice?

“No,” I whisper, staring at the tiny tablet as if glaring hard enough might make it disappear.

It’s one pill. People miss pills all the time. This doesn’t mean anything.

Except Dean came inside me last night.

Fuck.

My stomach twists, but I shove the packet back into my bag before I can stare at it long enough to convince myself I’m pregnant approximately twelve hours after sex.

One missed pill.

It’s fine.

Probably.

At this point, I’m only trying to convince myself.

“Blair?” Dean calls sleepily from the bedroom.

“Yeah?” I call back, quickly zipping my bag.

“You’re still coming to Mom and Dad’s tonight?” he asks.

I pull my sweater over my head, trying not to think about the little foil packet sitting three feet away from me. Panicking won’t change anything, and I refuse to let one missed pill send me into a complete breakdown before I’ve even had coffee.

“Of course I am,” I reply.

Dean appears in the bathroom doorway with his hair sticking up in several directions and his gray sweatpants sitting dangerously low on his hips.

Very fucking helpful.

“You leaving?” he asks, leaning one shoulder against the doorframe.

“Eventually. I need clothes, my charger, and a few things from home, considering I’ve apparently moved in without anyone consulting me,” I tell him, raising my brows.
