“And yet you love me.”
“Debatable,” I tell her, narrowing my eyes.
“Bitch.” G gives me the finger.
I’m still laughing when my phone lights up on the table.
Mr. Ashford
G spots the name and groans. “Oh my God. You two are disgusting.”
She sticks her fingers in her mouth, pretending to gag as I grab my phone before she can reach it.
“He hasn’t even said anything.”
“He exists,” she says, rolling her eyes. “That’s enough.”
Mr. Ashford: I hope you’re not letting G lead you astray.
ME: Too late. X
Mr. Ashford: Fucking great.
G leans across the table to snoop at my screen.
“See?” she says. “Disgusting.”
“What?” I ask innocently.
“The little X.”
“It’s a kiss.”
“I know what it is, babe.”
“Then what’s the problem?”
“I’m not asking questions. I’m judging you.” G points at me before taking another sip of her drink.
I flip her off and reach for my whiskey sour.
“So,” she begins, grinning over her glass, “how many nights this week have you actually slept at your own house?”
I pause.
G gasps. “Blair.”
“What?”
“You don’t even know.”
“I know,” I argue, despite the fact that I genuinely can’t remember the last time I slept in my own bed.
“Then answer.”
I start counting on my fingers.
G’s mouth drops open. “Oh my God. You’ve moved in.”
