I straighten and lean against the car. “Does this have anything to do with Georgie?”

“No. Of course not,” he scoffs, avoiding my eyes.

Fucking liar.

Logan looks back at me before pointing directly at my face. “You’re smiling.”

“I’m not smiling.”

Yes, I am.

“You’ve been smiling at that fucking alternator for ten minutes,” he says.

I glance down at the engine. “Maybe I really like alternators.”

His eyes narrow with suspicion. “You gave her a key, didn’t you?”

Fucking gossip.

“How the hell do you know that?”

“Call it brotherly intuition,” Logan says, grinning. “And maybe Knox told me you asked where to get a key cut.”

“Knox needs to learn how to shut the fuck up,” I mutter, going back to the engine.

“Never going to happen.”

I shake my head and tighten another bolt, hoping he’ll finally take the hint and leave it alone.

He doesn’t.

“So?” Logan prompts.

I look over at him. “So, what?”

“You gave Blair a key.”

“Yeah.”

Logan goes quiet for half a second, his grin slowly disappearing. “Shit.”

“What?” I ask, frowning.

“Nothing. I just never thought I’d see the day.”

“Neither did I,” I admit.

That wipes the amusement off his face completely.

“You really love her, don’t you?” he asks.

“Yeah.” I don’t even hesitate. “I really fucking do.”

Logan smiles, looking almost proud of me, then immediately ruins the moment.

“Cute.”

“Fuck off.” I give him the finger.
