She rolled her eyes. “It was Hunter and Felix who arranged everything,” she said.
That surprised him, but given who their boyfriends were, not that out of character. Given Ryder’s reaction to his message yesterday, he was in on it as well, so Deacon had to be involved too. The only question Mason had was whether Zeb was in on it as well? The thought that he could be made him smile.
CHAPTER 15
ZEB
Alison was a lot of fun, but she was like a female Ryder in the way she ran her mouth off. Zeb doubted she bed-hopped as much as Ryder used to, but she certainly liked to cause trouble. After Zeb had come back from his fake trip to the bathroom, she had started on again about their “romantic getaway.” Mason hadn’t corrected her, so neither had Zeb. They’d left shortly after and were now walking down Main Street, although that seemed a rather grand name for something so quaint.
The entire street was decorated for the holidays, and it looked like a postcard for small-town Christmas. Zeb spotted an Italian restaurant, which Mason said was excellent, a café, and half a dozen shops at most, including a grocery store. That was all there was. How did people get things out here, as he doubted Amazon delivered. Mason walked them down the street, still holding on to Zeb’s hand. They were both wearing gloves, but he could feel the heat radiating off his hand through two layers of material. Did Mason realize he was still holding Zeb’s hand? The sidewalk had been cleared of snow here, so there was no reason to do it for safety. Zeb had no intention of bringing it to his attention.
“I want to show you something first, and then we can look in all the shops.”
“What?”
“It’s a surprise,” he said with a smile.
Mason looked cute with his beanie on. He’d never seen him dressed like this before. It was very different to his attire while making and eating breakfast. And this morning, he’d not only made breakfast but eaten it with his shirt off. Zeb wasn’t sure if it was the food or Mason’s chest that had made him drool more . . . It was Mason’s chest!
They walked up a slight incline toward an old-looking building. It wasn’t a church, but it had that vibe about it and had clearly been here for centuries. There was stained glass in the windows that reflected the sunlight onto the snow, and made it look like a rainbow on the ground.
“What is this place?”
“It’s a house.”
“Who lives here?”
“Nobody. It’s been empty for years, but people come and work on the grounds and make sure it doesn’t fall into disrepair. The ownership is the only secret in town. It’s a complete mystery.”
“Sounds dramatic.”
Mason chuckled. “Well, Alison does like to paint a picture.”
Zeb laughed. Even though the woman had no sense of subtlety, Zeb liked her.
“The house isn’t what I wanted to show you, though,” said Mason.
“What was it, then?”
“Turn around.”
Zeb did, and his jaw dropped. The view was breathtaking. They hadn’t walked up too high an incline, but you could see the whole town from here, covered in snow. It was like something off a holiday card.
“Is that your cabin over there?” He pointed.
Mason came up close behind him and took hold of his hand, moving it to the left. Zeb could smell his cologne and feel his warm breath on the back of his neck, even with the scarf there. His cock thickened, and he didn’t want this moment to end.
“If you squint your eyes, you can see the Range Rover.”
Zeb looked closely and spotted it. “It looks small from here.”
“Puts things into perspective, doesn’t it?”
His words were spoken into Zeb’s ear, making his whole body thrum with desire. He was now rock hard and in danger of humping Mason’s leg, but the man didn’t move away.
“What would you like to do now, Zeb?”
Bend over that wall!
