“I don't even know who or what he is,” I add.

“He's feral.”

My stomach drops.

“He is not.”

“You just said you don't know who he belongs to.”

“That doesn't make him feral.”

“He's an unidentified Wolf hanging around school property and threatening faculty.”

“He didn't threaten you.”

The Wolf growls.

Loudly. I wince.

“Okay. That was a little threatening.”

Coach's face hardens.

“I'm calling Supernatural Wildlife Control.”

“What?”

“If that thing comes at me again, I'm reporting it.”

My Wolf bares his teeth. I put my hand on his back.

Instantly, some of the tension leaves him.

Not all.

Not even close.

“It's okay,” I whisper.

His head turns. Those strange, intelligent eyes meet mine.

Goddess.

He really is beautiful.

Coach scoffs.

“You're going to get yourself hurt.”

I look up.

“I'm fine.”

“Maggie—”

“It's Aggie,” I mutter.

My heart pounds.
