“Nah, nothing.” He picked up his fork. “And it’s basically seven months now, but who’s counting?”

He chuckled and shook his head before cutting into his pancakes.

“But nah,” he said. “It’s cool. Just getting reestablished.”

I leaned my hip against the counter.

“Reestablished?”

“Yeah.”

I looked around my kitchen before looking back at him.

Then I looked him up and down.

The hoodie.

Sweats.

Watch on his wrist that I knew damn well wasn’t cheap.

Fresh haircut.

Clean sneakers.

Everything about the nigga looked put together.

I chuckled.

“From the looks of it, you pretty well established.”

His eyes lifted to mine.

Then that smile came.

Bright.

White.

Annoyingly fucking nice.

“Thanks, Sam.”

“Mhm.”

“You looked me up and down.”

“I did not.”

“You definitely did.”

“I was looking at your clothes.”

“That’s called looking me up and down.”

“Levin, eat your fucking pancakes.”

He laughed.
