Chapter Twenty
~Andy~
I woke up pressed against Trevor’s body, which was completely rolled up in my blanket, leaving nothing for me.
“Cover hog,” I complained, wrenching some of it back from him.
“I’ll buy you another one,” he mumbled as he turned toward me. “Or you’ll just have to start sleeping closer.”
“I can’t get any closer,” I assured him.
Apparently I was wrong, because he grabbed me and pulled me fully on top of him, his arms wrapped around my waist and a smile lighting his face.
“Sure you can.” He leaned up and kissed me quickly before turning to glance at the clock on my desk. “Shit.”
I followed his gaze and groaned. I was going to be late to class.
“Andy, you’re going to be late again,” Caitlyn called as she opened my bedroom door. “Ewww!!!”
She slammed the door shut again and I scrambled off Trevor, who was laughing like an idiot.
“Caitlyn!” I yelled, rushing out to find her in the living room, sitting on the sofa with her face cradled in her hands. “You could knock.”
“You could…I don’t know…hang a sock on the door,” she shot back, glaring up at me. “Was that Trevor?”
“Yes,” I said. “And we were both completely dressed. Nothing was happening.”
I didn’t think I needed to tell her what had happened the night before. It was none of her business anyway.
“Why is he here?” she hissed.
“We were studying, it got late…” I trailed off lamely as I scrubbed a hand through my hair. “Look, you didn’t walk in on anything, okay?”
“Oh, okay,” she said, clearly not believing me. “What are you thinking?”
“I thought you wanted this?” I whispered, not wanting Trevor to hear me. “Weren’t you the one—”
“I don’t know,” she admitted. “I guess it never occurred to me that you actually would. Are you…what are you doing?”
“I don’t know,” I said. “It’s not…I don’t think anything has really changed. Look, I have to get to class, I’m already in deep shit with my teachers.” I looked over at the clock and groaned again. Fuck, I wasn’t making it to my first class. “Just…don’t say anything to him, okay?”
“Whatever,” she said, getting to her feet and grabbing her backpack. “But you and I aren’t finished.”
I huffed out an irritated sigh and watched her walk out the door before heading back into my bedroom, where Trevor was sliding his boots on.
“Sorry,” I said.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah,” I lied. “Totally. I’m going to grab a shower and try to make it to my second class.”
“You want me to come with you?”
“To class?”
“In the shower,” he said, smirking.
“Yes, actually. But no.” God, what was wrong with me? “You should head out.”
