A soft laugh comes through the radio.
“You’re beginning to sound like James.”
The transmission ends.
On the screen, Donald pulls Naomi toward the bridge.
It worked.
Not all of it.
But enough.
Ben looks at Piers. “Status?”
Piers enters another command.
The green light on the maintenance terminal turns red.
Marcus stares at the tablet.
“Diving chamber alarm disabled.”
Keating calls his tactical commander.
“We need a submersible insertion team.”
“Too slow,” Ben says. “The Argent Star reaches the ferry landing in seventeen minutes.”
“My team has trained rescue swimmers.”
“They haven’t seen the chamber.”
“Neither have you.”
“Marcus can guide us.”
Marquez turns toward Marcus.
“Where does the chamber open inside the ship?”
“Lower cargo deck.”
“How do we reach the bridge?”
“Two stairwells. One near the engine room, one behind the galley.”
“Guards?”
“Simon normally keeps one near the chamber and one in the lower passage.”
Ben looks toward his team.
“John and Mark take the engine-room stairs. Piers and I clear the cargo deck.”
Scott’s voice comes through the radio.
“And me?”
