Storm opens her mouth again.

Ward steps in front of her.

“She’s right.”

Storm stares at him.

“I hate it when you say that.”

“You hate it when anyone says something you don’t want to hear.”

“I don’t need you to protect me.”

“No. But your mother and sisters need you to stay alive.”

Storm looks toward Mom.

The fight leaves her.

Marquez contacts the federal teams moving toward Blue Lantern.

Then she sends one of Keating’s officers to warn Ben that no one enters until they arrive.

I already know he won’t wait if Arthur is in immediate danger.

“Can you access the Blue Lantern cameras?” Marquez asks Elliot through the secure radio.

Elliot sits inside an armored vehicle with Scott beside him. Peter is being treated in another transport.

“My father disabled them.”

“When?”

“After Marcus disappeared.”

Thomas moves closer. “Your brother is missing?”

Elliot hears him through the open connection.

“Marcus has been missing for six years.”

“You told people he moved to Mexico,” Thomas says.

“That’s what Simon told us to say.”

“Why?”

“Because Marcus saw something.”

“What?”

“I don’t know. He came to my father one night covered in blood. They argued in the back room of Blue Lantern. Marcus left before morning.”

“Did he say where he was going?”

“No.”
