His voice was low and dangerous, but his words didn’t scare me.

He moved his hand back to the nape of my neck, and I sighed.

I didn’t need to think about my answer, but if it made him feel better to wait a few days, I was going to give him what he wanted.

“Okay,” I said as I closed my eyes.

Brock wanted a future with me.

I could wait a few more days to tell him that I wanted exactly the same thing.

Chapter 21

Brock

Three days later, I was starting to rethink telling Jenna that I needed a solid commitment before I’d bury myself inside her beautiful body.

Sleeping with her every night was pure torture, and I wasn’t sure how much longer I was going to last before I caved in and said to hell with what I wanted.

She was mine, and sooner or later she was going to realize that, right?

She hadn’t said a word about us after that ridiculous discussion.

No commitment.

No questions.

Not even a possible counteroffer.

Hell, I really didn’t want to compromise, but if I’d asked for too much, she could have at least told me so.

Maybe I was asking for too much.

We’d known each other for a such a short period of time. Maybe I should have just concentrated on making her so sexually satisfied that she couldn’t imagine being with another guy.

Damn! Now that I thought about it, that sounded like an amazing idea to me.

We’d had a good time over the last few days.

We’d visited Tahquamenon Falls and then Pictured Rocks today.

We were headed back home in the morning.

In another week, Jenna would be gone.

Fuck! The thought of her leaving was something I didn’t even want to think about.

I had no idea how I’d come to depend on having Jenna around in a matter of weeks.

I halted abruptly as Jenna stopped in front of me and bent over on the hiking trail to pick up a rock from the path.

It was damn hard not to ogle her shapely ass in the snug jeans she was wearing every time she bent over, and she’d done it a lot on this hiking path.

We’d moved away from Pictured Rocks after taking a boat ride to explore a quieter hiking trial.

My woman had an interest in rocks, and we’d spent time earlier this morning looking for Lake Superior agates on the beach.

I’d promised her we’d come back later tonight to look for Yooperlites. Jenna was stoked about the possibility of finding some of the unique syenite rocks that were rich in sodalite. The rocks glowed bright orange or yellow when exposed to an ultraviolet flashlight, so they could only be searched for after dark.
