Did we make a mistake?

Please don’t worry!
I’m positive Mika would murder an entire city before letting anything happen to Artemis.
Also… YESSSS.
Fate really looked at Artemis and said, “Let’s make this like an iconic romance book.”
This has the potential to be better than all our Hallmark movies combined. And if they actually fall in love because they’re snowed in together, I would like it officially documented that we made it happened!

Hell Froze Over
“People sting themselves when they assume they can grab her.” — K
There’s nothing quite as hellish as having the best dream of your life—one where I’m living on an isolated island in the middle of nowhere, soaking in the cold, doing my skin care, and enjoying the blissful absence of other human beings—only to wake up from it.
Just me, my skincare, and the sweet sound of absolutely nothing. Well, except for one obligatory family call per year.
It was perfect.
Naturally, I had to wake up.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, I wake up confused.
Which is already a terrible way to start the day.
I don’t care for feelings, but confusion is one I refuse to tolerate. Confusion means I lacked information.
And that’s a personal nightmare.
I open my eyes and find my reflection staring back at me from a mirrored ceiling. I’m in an unfamiliar bed, wearing a long-sleeved, full-length satin pajama set beneath white covers. My hair is still pulled into the sleek ponytail I wore to bed last night, and my face is blessedly free of makeup.
I look perfectly comfortable.
Which is concerning, considering I have absolutely no idea where the hell I am.
Then it all comes back.
Ugh.
No.
