Speaking off that little shit. I glanced down and saw that my phone had disappeared again. “Son of an abyss!”

“Uh…what?”

“Popty keeps stealing my phone.”

“Your phone?”

“Is he a hoarder of electrical devices or something? The microwave wasn’t enough so now he needs to nick my phone too?” I demanded.

Owain was perplexed. “He doesn’t steal from me.”

“Of course he doesn’t because you’re a psy—” I caught myself and Owain raised an eyebrow as he waited for me to finish. “…psy-ingly beautiful person.”

Smooth.

Owain lit up. Because of course he did. My bullshit continued to escape him. I didn’t feel bad though, because this time it wasn’t like I was lying. He was sighingly beautiful.

“I’ll talk to Popty,” Owain promised. “After dinner though. I don’t want him getting upset and going nuclear either.”

“Fine,” I agreed. Then something triggered in my mind. “By the way, you mentioned everyone else, but where is Bar—”

“ARGH, ME HEARTIES! WHICH HERE LANDLUBBER IS READY FOR A BIT OF GRUB AND A SHOW!”

My eyes widened. “Owain, you didn’t.”

“It says it on the pamphlet! I can’t disappoint them!”

“They’re a bunch of ghosts! Those people are going to run screaming!”

He waved a dismissive hand. “It’s fine. I’ve got it covered.”

I narrowed my eyes. “They’re not wearing sheets, are they?”

Owain giggled. “No, silly.”

He led me along by the hand and had me peek through the crack in the door.

A puppet show was set up. A proper one, with an ancient-looking little wooden booth and dusty-ass curtains pushed to the side to enable the guests to see. A puppet version of Barth bobbed around with ringlet curls and a too-big hat, a paper boat floating in the background.

Seth looked horrified.

I smothered my laugh.

Owain dragged me away toward the kitchen. “Help me serve?”

As if I could have said no to that lower lip. Especially now that I’d tasted it.

I bent down and sucked it into my mouth, smirking big as I pulled away. “My payment in advance.”

Owain tilted his head then grasped the back of my neck and pulled me down to stick his tongue down my throat. My eyes went wide and my hands suddenly felt too big to put anywhere, so I held them out to the sides as Owain curled his tongue into places in my mouth I wasn’t aware were sensitive.

My lips weren’t spared from the assault, Owain chewing gently on both between dragging kisses that were wet and slick and made my dick unfathomably hard and happy.

After he had devoured me he pulled back, leaving me kiss-drunk and reeling while he still looked bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

“Because we might have to work overtime. I wanted to make sure you were paid enough.”

The little flirt seemed entirely sincere and unaware that he had not just rocked my world, but stuck it in a snow globe and shaken it all over the place.
