Ryan scowled. “No, but three definitely do. You’re forgetting the president again. Me.”

“Oh…” I said. Very smart. Very eloquent.

“And as president I am making the executive decision to kick everyone else out. The club is no more.”

“Sad,” I said with a fake sniff.

“So grab your jam and your pecans and your flour and we can head back.”

“Sure.”

I meandered through the crowd, picking up the things I’d told him I actually needed. I loaded all of the new bags onto his wrists, mentally trying to figure out how to slip away so I could buy what I ACTUALLY actually came to get.

He was glued to my side. There was no way I could lose him unless I deployed some master level ninja skills I absolutely possessed.

I just had to be stealthy and smooth. Casual. Poker face on. Serenity, thy name is—

“You’re fidgeting,” he said, making the record scratching noise echo in my brain.

“No, I’m not.” I looked around for something to distract him with. “Just looking for… Oh, there. Can you go grab me one of those?”

“One of what?” he asked as I spun him in place and pushed him toward a random booth to his left.

“Right there,” I said. “You’ll see it when you get there. I just need one. Go before they sell out!”

I gave his back a hard shove then bolted the other way as fast as my legs would carry me. I glanced back to see him standing in the same spot, looking confused as he stared after my smooth departure.

I dodged a few different booths and took several wrong turns. I even executed a pretty decent tuck and roll under a little floral arch that had people staring in what I could only imagine was awe.

When I was absolutely certain he had zero idea where I was, I made my way toward my final destination. Tucked at the very end of the last row of booths was A Shaft to Remember. Artisan cocks and other necessities of that sort.

Run by Edmund, a silver fox in his late fifties, it was one of the staples of the market. He was an artist. A visionary. And the answer to my current conundrum.

“Ed!” I greeted him when I reached his booth, a little winded, but not too much to not admire the colourful silicone arranged in neat rows in front of him.

“Kitten!” he said cheerfully. “How are you?”

“Doing good. I don’t have much time, but I’m looking for something specific.”

“Oh!” A smirk bloomed on his lips as he leaned closer. “Do tell.”

“I recently met someone and he has a really nice…”

“Cock,” Ed helped.

“Yes.” I nodded, a smidge shy. “I wanted…something like that. I don’t have anything that fits quite right and I…”

“You need it, kitten?” he asked.

I nodded, feeling my cheeks burn. I looked around me quickly, making sure Ryan hadn’t found me.

He was nowhere in sight.

“How bad is it?” Ed asked. “If I don’t have exactly what you need can you wait for a custom order?”

“I’ll take the closest thing you have,” I said quickly, still looking around. “Bit of a rush.”

“You expecting someone?” Ed raised a silver brow.
