“Stop it. I’m okay. And I’m not just saying that to say it. I mean it. I’m all right. It’s just something my body has never done before. I have to get used to it a bit before I can jump you all over again. Not that I don’t want to.”
In a flash, his mood shifts. “So, you want to jump me again? Did you enjoy yourself?”
“Was my screaming and begging for more not a clear enough hint?”
Primal grunts and leans down to kiss me softly. I feel my body reacting to him in a way it never has to anyone else. I thought I might need a day before I was ready to take him again, but based on what I’m feeling right now, I’m sure I could take him now.
“I’m glad it was you. I’m glad you’re my mate,” I whisper against his lips.
He nods.
"I’m glad it was me, too," he murmurs back, and with each word, his lips brush mine. "You might not be ready to take me again, but there are other things we can do."
"And what’s that?" I ask, cheeks turning bright pink.
"You’ll have to just lie here and see what I come up with." Primal grins, then kisses me deeply, then kisses me everywhere, bringing my body to life all over again in ways I never imagined possible.
“I can sense you thinking, Sibley. What’s on your mind?” Primal asks, holding me in his arms as his fingers glide along my spine.
I bite my lower lip, not wanting to tell him what I’ve given up besides my virginity. If I tell him that having sex with him means I’m no longer a seer, I’m sure he’ll get upset. Not with me, but with himself. I don’t want to do that to him. Not when I know we both wanted this. For the first time, I want something other than my powers.
“Nothing that matters. I promise.” I shift in his arms, snuggling closer. “Well, nothing besides my growing urge to use the bathroom.” After everything he did to me this morning, I could really use a shower and a pee.
He laughs, and the sound is music to my heart.
I wait a second before Primal loosens the vice-like grip he has on me with his arms and allows me to get out of bed.
As I step toward the bathroom, I briefly wonder what Primal’s brothers are up to. Corbin promised that someone would check on us every so often, but as far as I know, no one has come yet.
I take another step in that direction, and as if someone had simply deposited me into a movie, I see Corbin and the rest of Primal’s brothers gearing up and talking about coming to check on us.
“What the hell,” I squeal, jumping back.
No one seemed to realize I was standing there, completely naked, in the middle of them. It’s as if they can’t even see me.
I wave my hand in front of Justice’s face, but he doesn’t blink. I squeal again as he turns and walks right through me.
What on earth is going on?
I spin on my heels and reach for something else to touch, but my hand goes right through it.
“Sibley!” I hear someone scream my name. Primal.
I blink once, and I’m back in the room with him.
“Huh?”
His jaw drops. “Huh? What do you mean, ‘huh’? You were on your way to the bathroom, then you stopped and started talking to yourself and reaching for things. What’s going on? Are you okay? Is it your head?”
I press my hand against his chest and feel his heart beating a million miles a minute.
It was a vision.
How is that possible?
I shake my head. I’ve never had a vision like that. It felt so real, as if I’d been right there with them. A ghost among the living.
“I’m okay,” I say, then I start laughing. In fact, I laugh so hard that tears stream down my cheeks.
