So I think we can call it.

Successful reversal. Five stars. No further magic required.

Something warm and complicated settles behind my ribs.

So we agree.

No next step.

The Third Fairy

I don’t think this is how it works, unfortunately.

For a spell to be reversed, you have to get to the end.

So like a 10-day course of antibiotics?

The Third Fairy

That’s funny.

And yes.

CHAPTER 35

THE THIRD FAIRY

2:09 PM

The Third Fairy

You know what you want now.

You’ve known for a while, I think.

So this time, there is no list.

No walking under the moonlight.

Nothing to find.

Choose the thing you keep returning to.

The thing you look for when something good happens because you want to tell someone.

The person whose attention has started to matter more than it should.

The one you want to know you back.

Don’t choose them because they appeared at the right time, or because you think they want you.

Or because you think the universe put them in your path.

Choose them because, out of everyone you could reach for, they’re the person you keep reaching for anyway.
