“I just like seeing my sister happy.”
“And you think Mr. Flirtatious makes me happy?”
“It seems like it to me, and Cole.”
“Oh, great. You two have discussed it.”
Eden nodded. “After we went in the hot tub last night. Ty couldn’t keep his eyes off you in your bathing suit.”
“What else was he supposed to look at, the owls?”
Eden laughed. “Way to deflect.”
“He’s a man. He likes women, and I happen to be a woman,” Hope stated.
“He likes a woman who challenges him like you do.”
Hope grinned. “I have enjoyed giving him the business.”
“Is that all you gave him?” Eden wiggled her eyebrows.
Hope gave her a playful shove. “Yes. There was no funny business while we were here.”
“Hmm.” Eden believed her, but she figured it would have been hard to resist him, given their attraction to each other.
“Anyway, back to you and Cole. How long is he coming to visit for?”
“Two weeks. I’m going to show him around, and we’re going to Traverse City for a weekend.”
“How fun. Are you going to introduce him to Mom and Dad?”
“Absolutely.”
“I’m happy for you, sis. Oh, and you shouldn’t have to worry about Patrick anymore.”
It was the first they’d spoken of him in a while. “Why not?”
“I might have sent him some pictures of you and Cole kissing and such.”
Eden’s eyes widened. “Really? When did you catch us kissing?”
“Only every hour of every day! After the fourth or fifth picture, Patrick sent me a message saying he got the point and to please stop texting him.”
Eden smiled. “Thanks, sis. I owe you one.”
“You don’t owe me anything. Just keep being happy.”
The cabin door creaked open. “Are you two decent?” Ty called.
Hope rolled her eyes. “See what I’ve had to put up with?”
“Yes. We’re in the bedroom,” Eden responded.
Boots clomped across the cabin floor, and Cole and Ty entered Hope’s bedroom.
“This is the first time I’ve been allowed in here all week,” Ty said, glancing around with interest.
“The first and last time since we’re leaving,” Hope said.
