“Bummer,” he replied.

To Eden, it looked like he really meant it.

“If you’re ready to go, I’ll load your suitcase for you,” Cole offered.

“I’ll do it,” Ty said, moving in front of him.

“Knock yourself out,” Hope replied.

Ty hauled the suitcase off the bed, pretending to be weighed down with the effort. “Geez, woman, what all do you have in here?”

“Just the essentials.”

“It can’t be your bathing suit since there was hardly anything to it,” he teased.

Eden gave Hope a knowing look.

“You should see my underwear,” Hope quipped.

“I’d like to,” Ty shot back.

“I’m really going to miss this,” Cole said dryly.

“Me too,” Eden said.

Ty went out of the room with the suitcase.

The sisters stood, and Eden wrapped her arms around Hope. “I’m so glad you came to visit.”

Hope gave her a squeeze. “You’re acting like you’re never going to see me again.”

Ty reentered the room. “Aw. How sweet. Can I have one?”

The sisters broke apart.

“No, you may not,” Hope said. “Now, let’s go, so we’re not late.” She shoved past him and went out of the room.

“Rebuffed again,” Cole said, patting Ty on the back.

“I’m getting used to it,” he muttered.

A few minutes later, they left the resort in a caravan on their way to Denver. Eden and Cole were in his car, Hope was behind them, and Ty brought up the rear.

“What a fun week,” Eden commented as they drove through Estes Park. “I can’t believe we only have one week left.” The thought was sobering.

He reached over and squeezed her hand. “It’s not the end for us, Eden.”

“I know, but I’m going to miss this place.”

“Me too. What do you think of coming here at the same time next year?”

Next year? Was he really thinking that far ahead? “I would love to.”

“Great, because I already booked our cabin for next September.”

Her eyes widened. “You did?”

He nodded, smiling broadly.
