“I didn’t pack any, and there’s a hot tub at the cabin.”

Cole recalled the first time he’d seen Eden in the hot tub and how she’d hidden her body from view. It felt like eons ago instead of mere weeks. “I’m surprised you’d even bother wearing trunks,” Cole ribbed.

“Normally, I wouldn’t, but I promised to honor Hope’s rules.”

Cole chuckled, thinking how similar the sisters were, yet different too. “Since when do you follow the rules?”

“Since a gorgeous woman asked me to.”

Cole eyed his brother closely. No way. It can’t be happening to both of us, can it? He shook away the thought while Ty selected some trunks from the rack.

“These will do,” he said. “Do you need anything?”

Just Eden. “Nope. I’m good.”

He followed Ty to the register and waited while he paid. Then they retraced their steps to where they were supposed to meet the women. There were a lot of people milling around, but the pretty sisters weren’t among them.

“Told you,” Ty said.

The brothers sat on a bench facing the opposite side of the street. A few minutes later, Eden and Hope emerged from the clothing store, both swinging a shopping bag.

Cole’s face lit up when he saw them. Glancing over at Ty, it was like looking in a mirror. He looked just as happy. No way, he thought again.

The men stood as the women approached them, looking like they had a secret.

“How’d it go?” Cole asked.

“Great, except Hope convinced me to spend a lot more money than I usually do.”

“She deserved to treat herself,” Hope stated.

“I agree,” said Cole.

“Your bag looks even heavier than hers,” Ty said, pointing at Hope’s bulging bag.

“It’s just a few things,” she demurred. Glancing at his bag, she said, “What did you buy?”

“Swim trunks,” he replied, grinning.

“What for?”

“There’s a hot tub at the cabin, and I plan on using it.”

“I forgot to pack a bathing suit,” Hope said.

“That’s okay. You’re welcome to go commando,” Ty teased.

She rolled her eyes at him. “I will not be going commando, thank you very much!”

They all laughed.

“Who’s hungry?” Cole asked. “All this shopping has worked up my appetite.”

“I could eat,” Ty said immediately.

“Me too,” said Eden.

“You three just had breakfast,” Hope said.
