I head back to my place. Opening my door, I can smell her, that god-awful perfume she soaks herself in. How the fuck did she get in? Looking around, I find Angela asleep in my bed. I gently pull her naked body out of it.

“Get. Out.” I set her on her feet before turning to start the shower. She whines. “Leave. Get dressed and leave.”

Angela gathers her clothes, and before she leaves the bedroom, she looks over her shoulder with a cruel smile. “Fuck you, Cameron. I hope they are worth everything you’re about to lose.”

Later, I take the bike to the office. As expected, my parents, as well as her parents, are there, waiting. I can see them immediately, through the glass walls. Everything in me wants to turn and walk away.

Ken stops me. “This can’t be good.”

I shake my head. “Remember that woman at the strip club?”

His eyebrow quirks. I wave my hand to the people in my office, and he shakes his head. “Fuck ’em, dude.” He has stood by what he said to me that night.

“To what do I owe this pleasure?” I deadpan, walking through the door, putting my motorcycle helmet on the edge of my desk.

“Son, what are you doing?”

“I’m sure, I don’t know what you are talking about.” Sitting in my chair, I turn to face them, emotionless.

“You’ve been ignoring us.”

“My phone was destroyed. I’m picking up another one later today.”

It’s not exactly a lie. But it has my father fuming, nonetheless. “You haven’t been home all weekend.”

“That didn’t stop you from letting her in, though, did it?”

Angela’s father, Gregory, narrows his eyes at me. “Do not talk about my daughter as if she is nothing.”

My stoic gaze meets his. “She is nothing to me, Gregory. I’ve never wanted anything to do with her. I don’t know how else to tell you, for you to get it.”

My mother’s gaze is gentler when she speaks. “You need to be careful, son. This new girl can get you in a lot of trouble.”

“You know this, how? Because Angela saw her?”

She nods, clasping her hands on her crossed knees. “And because of how crude she was.”

My laugh catches everyone off guard. That was the best part of that whole disaster.

“You have a responsibility here.” My father’s voice belts, carrying across the room.

“And I have upheld every part of it.”

Angela bursts through the doors, followed by my assistant, Barb.

“It’s fine, Barb,” She nods once, her short black hair swaying around her face, and walks away.

“He’s gay!” Angela screams. Barb stops abruptly before quickly continuing out the door. My eyebrows shoot to the top of my head at this outburst.

“I thought you said she was a woman with tattoos and piercings?” my mother questions Angela, clearly annoyed.

“They’re all together. I smelled him all over you this morning, Cam.”

I laugh, an uncontrolled, completely chaotic laugh that has everyone in my office staring. Here we go. There’s no going back now.

“We fuck her together, Angela. We sleep in the same fucking bed. Of course, you smelled him on me.”

I shake my head, as if this is the most normal relationship I’ve ever been in. Her parents gasp, stunned for only a moment, before they storm out, pulling a crying Angela with them. My smile is wide with the thought of never having to see them again.
