“The Scout Leader told us,” Bain said, “that you needed to get skin to skin to increase body heat, and that a little bit of exertion could be the difference between life and death.”
The words barely registered as her attention was firmly focused on his wandering hand. She held her breath as his fingertips encountered the lace of her panties. But Bain went no further. Instead, he leisurely traced the edge, back and forth, leaving Rona on a knife’s edge, waiting for the moment when his hand would dip beneath.
“Exertion?” she managed to say, as she fought to stay present and not lose herself in sensation.
Not yet anyway.
“Absolutely.” He nibbled her earlobe. “It’s important to keep your heart rate up when you’re cold. You have to get your blood flowing. For, you know, survival.”
She frowned in confusion as it became harder to think straight. “You mean, like doing jumping jacks?”
“Something like that.” There was a grin in his voice. “Lift your head, Rona.”
It took a second for her to comprehend the command, but she didn’t hesitate once she did. She lifted her head and his other arm slid through the gap and curved across her body, holding her tight.
Why wasn’t his hand on her breast?
He was so close. So, so close. But not close enough. She wondered how she could get him to move it lower without asking outright, when his fingers dipped into her panties.
Suddenly, she forgot all about the hand near her breast.
“Curls here too,” Bain muttered with satisfaction.
Rona pushed back against him, feeling a disorientating combination of dazed and frustrated. He was playing with her. Teasing her. Taking his own damn time about things. She groaned in complaint, but Bain seemed content to toy with her curls.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“I’m warming you up.” He nuzzled into her throat, teasing the skin with his lips and teeth.
Rona clamped a hand over the arm that led down into her jeans. She tried to shift it lower still. He didn’t budge. He just kept up his languorous caresses. So close, yet so very far away from where she wanted them to be.
Again, she was so focused on the hand in her pants that she’d forgotten about his other hand. It suddenly moved, in a slow slide downward to cover her breast.
“Yes,” Rona gasped with approval.
She felt him smile against her neck before nibbling at the skin.
The fingers in her pants dipped lower, finding her cleft and slowly sliding inward. Just a tad. No more.
She gasped. Bain said something but the words were meaningless. Everything within her was focused on his hand. She felt like she was going to burst from waiting.
“Bain,” she complained.
“What?” the devil whispered.
She widened her legs. “You know what.”
“Are you warm enough now?” he said. “Should I stop?”
Her hand clamped tight around his forearm. “Stop and I’ll kill you,” she threatened.
With a dark chuckle, his fingers dipped lower.
She lost all ability to think. All she could do was feel.
There were Bain fingers.
In Rona places.
