Luckily, my sister was more than willing to lie for me since I admitted I was going on a date with Logan. She squealed and clapped her hands like it was the best news ever.
Logan told me he’d be at my apartment to pick me up around lunch time, which gave me plenty of time to catch up on sleep. However, while I’m in the process of said sleep, I feel my bed dip. Without opening my eyes, I assume it’s Kelsey coming to annoy me, but then I feel warm lips on my forehead and get a whiff of citrus and spice.
“Good morning, beautiful,” Logan whispers.
“You’re early,” I groan.
He chuckles and presses his lips to my throat. “I know, but I missed you.”
“You might not know this yet, but I’m really cranky when I get woken up early.”
Another kiss on my neck. “Kelsey warned me when she let me in, but I think I can make it up to you.”
“Oh yeah? How’s that?”
He pulls my covers off and climbs down my body, positioning himself between my legs. He pushes my underwear to the side before his tongue meets my clit. He’s so good at this that I come in minutes without any other contact except his tongue.
He smiles up at me with my release all over his mouth and asks, “Does that make up for waking you up early?”
“It’s a start.”
He laughs, climbs back up the bed, and pulls me into his arms. “Before the day is done, I promise you’ll be properly satisfied. But really, I just missed you and wanted to see you. We can lie here for as long as you’d like.”
I take him up on that and stay in his arms for a little while longer until my alarm goes off. I roll out of bed and get into the shower. Logan follows me into the bathroom and talks to me while I shower. I’m confused by this at first. I’ve never had anyone just sit and talk to me while I showered, but by the time I’m rinsing my hair, I realize I kind of like it. He doesn’t try to sneak a peek at me or climb in. It’s almost like he simply doesn’t want to be away from me. It’s terrifying how much I like that.
Once I’m dressed and ready for the day, I ask, “So, what’s the plan for today?”
He smiles. “Well, first I’m taking you to eat.” That’s good since I slept through breakfast.
“And then?”
“Patience. You’ll find out as we go.”
“Alright.” He takes my hand and leads me out the door.
Surprisingly, he has actually planned out our entire day. But maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. He always seems to have a plan, and given how adamant he was about this date, I should’ve expected him to be prepared.
We eat lunch at a new salad place in town, which he tells me he picked because he’s seen me eat a salad almost every single day for lunch. He’s not wrong. Sometimes a girl just wants a salad, ok? And this place didn’t disappoint. The salad options were amazing, and I got a smoothie to go before we left.
Then he takes me to paint pottery, which I’ve never done before. I was a little hesitant at first, but once I picked out what I was going to paint and got my colors, I started to really enjoy it.
“So why’d you pick this place?” I ask as I work on a flower on the coffee cup I picked.
Logan is working on a little knight figurine. “I was scouring the internet for ideas, and this place popped up. I’d never done anything like this and thought it might be fun. And honestly, I wanted to do something where we could be chill and just hang out together. This seemed like a good idea to be able to do that.”
I have to admit that he has put a lot of thought into this, but after we’ve left our painted pottery at the front desk for them to fire our pieces, he tells me what the main event of the day is.
“Last thing of the day before I take you home and make sweet, sweet love to you,” he says once we’re in his car. I can’t help but burst out laughing at this. “We’re going to do a cooking class together.”
I raise an eyebrow at him. “You think I’m a bad cook?”
“Not at all. It’s more for me than you. I was raised cooking with my mom. We used to do it a lot together, but we mostly made Russian food. I love what we made together, but I also want to be able to make other things. Things I think you might like so that in a few weeks or months, if you decide to let me hang around, I can make them for you at home.”
“That’s… really sweet actually.”
“I’m a pretty sweet guy, Savannah. I keep trying to tell you that.”
“Oh my god, you ruined it.”
