Well, other than the occasional rude misogynistic customer who I immediately put back in his fucking place.

But the way it rolls off Four’s tongue, the word alone could melt my panties off. Or maybe his powers are doing the trick right now.

He drags his teeth down my throat. Tongue after, then a slow suck that pulls a sound out of me I didn't know I could make. My back arches and I'm honestly shocked how close that alone gets me.

Then his hand leaves my breast and slides down. Past my navel. Under the waistband, where the soaked fabric clings too snug for his knuckles to fit.

He works at it anyway.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yespleaseohfaelordstouchme.

My face and neck are dripping now not only with seawater but with sweat. White clouds surround us from the heated water until we are practically in a cloud.

His knuckles skim my pubic bone, and my thighs clamp around him, my whole body strung so tight that another inch of him would finish it.

Is that embarrassing? Or bragging rights?

Four stills abruptly. "I—"

Whatever he was about to say gets cut off. Some conversation is happening inside. Something... unpleasant based on Four’s grimace. His hand retracts from where I want it most, and I bite back a groan of disappointment.

"I’ve got to go, but don’t worry, baby, I’ll be watching."

Then as if he can’t take it for one more second, or he’s on borrowed time, he grabs the back of my head and hauls me to him, kissing me with new hunger. I grip his hair and kiss him back, matching his furious passion, wanting to get all I can, while I can.

He pulls away, releasing me from his body until I’m left floating alone. The water cools and the steam dissipates quickly, clearing my senses.

I blink several times and find myself looking into emerald green eyes.

Home Sweet Home with Piss in My Boots

SNOW

For a moment, we just watch each other. My body is still riled by what happened with him, or I guess Four? Man, I need a chart or a spreadsheet to help me keep track.

There is an open, curious, or even analytical air about the way this personality regards me.

"I’m Snow," I say, feeling the introduction necessary though he likely knows exactly who I am.

"I know," he says matter-of-factly.

Right.

"And you are?" I prompt after he doesn’t offer anything else.

"Six."

Ah. "Why didn’t One come back?" Since that’s who I’m assuming is giving an ass-whooping to Four right now.

"Because Seven is talking to Four." He says it as if it makes perfect sense. It doesn’t.

"And One didn’t come back because..."

Six gives me a flat stare like it’s obvious and I’m an idiot for not understanding. "He’s our lead."

"Oookay." Steam thins around us. Goosebumps sweep up my arms, and my skin draws tight. Whatever heat Four left in the harbor is going fast.
