James pointed a finger in Brad’s face.
Brad really wanted to grab that finger and twist it away. “James.”
James grinned. “You said that like such a Daddy.”
“And you are a brat,” Brad accused. He resisted rolling his eyes.
“Duh.” James bounced on his tiptoes. “Tell me.”
It didn’t look like Brad was getting out of this. He just didn’t know how to explain.
“Now you look sad,” James said. “Don’t be sad! Do you want me to call Luca. Luca always makes you smile.”
“Luca makes me happy,” Brad confessed.
“I know!” James beamed. “I love it so much!”
“It’s not good.”
“Wait. It’s not?” Now James looked confused. “Why not?”
Brad grabbed Luca’s upper arms and shook him. “Because that means that it’s going to get fucked up.”
James stared at him for several long moments before he started laughing. And laughing and laughing.
“What?” Brad scowled back. “Why are you laughing?”
“Dude,” James replied. “Luca isn’t going to let you fuck this up. My friend is so into you it’s sickly sweet. You are literally all he talks about.”
That made Brad smile. Then he shook his head.
James huffed. “What’s the issue?”
“There isn’t one,” Brad responded automatically.
“You’re giving me a headache.” James poked Brad’s shoulder.
Was James trying to help him? Brad didn’t feel very helped.
“I know what you should do,” James said.
“What’s that?” Brad asked, more out of curiosity than anything else.
“You should take Luca back to the club. That was where everything finally fell into place for the two of you. Maybe if you took him back, then you’ll see everything is fine. Because I’m pretty sure that it is.”
That…that wasn’t a bad idea. Slowly, Brad nodded.
“Yay!” James clapped his hands. “And Jacob and I will come with you! You know, for moral support and shit.”
“Moral support and shit,” Brad repeated unimpressed. “I’ll make sure to share that with your Daddy.”
“Damn Daddies always stick together,” James muttered.
Brad’s heart gave a pang of hurt. Daddy. Luca hadn’t called him that special honorific. They negotiated the dominant and submissive part of their relationship. Brad felt better having a verbal agreement even if it wasn’t an official contract.
When he and Luca were just two men out on a date, hanging out, or having sex, things moved ahead naturally.
Big or little, Luca was everything that Brad wanted in a partner. He’d just love to hear Luca call him Daddy. Just one time. Okay, that was a lie. Once Brad heard it, he’d want to hear it all the time.
