James could be on to something. Even in his apartment with Brad or Brad and Dawson when Luca played or regressed, he hadn’t gone as deep as he had at the club.

“Luca is off tomorrow night,” Brad said, interrupting whatever nonsense James was spouting.

“We are too!” James reminded him.

Brad pulled out his cell phone from the pocket of his uniform pants. If he headed home and got a head start on his laundry, Brad could get the chores needed to be done and give him plenty of time to prepare for the club.

“Yes!” James whooped and hollered while dancing around.

Giving up on his friend, Brad turned and walked away as he hit the contact for his boy.

“Hello, handsome.”

Brad grinned at Luca’s greeting. “Hey, baby. How’s your shift going?”

Luca sighed loud and long.

“That good, huh?”

“How can Scott be so freaking smart, like genius level, yet he still forgets that the metal frothers are hot. He’s burned his hand twice already.”

Brad winced. Yeah, that sounded bad. He’d seen for himself how much of a disaster Scott was behind the espresso machine. There was no issue with working the register, cleaning the dining area, stocking, or even making non-espresso drinks. It was just that damn machine that Scott couldn’t seem to master.

Reaching his SUV, Brad hit the Unlock button on the key fob in his hand. He threw his bag into the back seat before climbing behind the wheel.

“You can teach him,” Brad told Luca. “You’re the best teacher there is.”

Luca huffed. “Yeah, yeah, yeah.”

“Since I believe in you so much, I’ll offer you a deal,” Brad offered.

“Like a reward?” Luca’s voice dropped to a low sexy timbre.

“Yes, baby boy. Like a reward.” Brad wanted to laugh. Luca was so easy to please. A spanking or a good hard pounding. The boy saw both the same.

“Is it a surprise?” Luca practically purred.

That would be fun but not until Brad had better footing in the relationship. He was still too worried that he would mess everything up. “How about a hint?”

“Yes!” Luca hissed into the phone.

“James had a good idea today,” Brad shared.

The little brat gasped dramatically. “No way!”

Brad chuckled, since that was the perfect response. Especially as James was walking in front of Brad’s SUV to his bike, making faces at him.

“What?” Luca asked.

“Your friend is an idiot,” Brad said.

“Uh, pretty sure he’s your friend too.”

“Not when he acts like that. He is literally making faces at me. And why has Jacob allowed him to keep that damn bike?” James on a motorcycle just didn’t sit well with Brad.

“They’re still fighting about it,” Luca said. “But tell me his brilliant and fantastic idea!”

“I said he had a good idea,” Brad reminded him.
