“Fuck off.” Diesel grunted.
Ignoring the two of them, I stepped closer to Levi. “Babydoll, I really didn’t mean anything by it.”
“But you’re attracted to him,” he said quietly so only I could hear, and his confession hit me.
Levi sighed. “Just forget it. Let’s go home. I’ve got homework.” He pulled away, forcing me to drop his arm, and walked toward the parking lot.
“C’mon, Jess,” Andrei said, patting me on the back.
On our way back home, the same question continued to bother me. Was I attracted to Jordan?
Jordan
A week had passed since Shay-Lee spent the night at my place and blew my mind by doing things I could never have imagined or expected. A week had passed, and I still couldn’t get over how lewd he was. How dirty he talked and how talented his mouth was. Every time I recalled the memory, my dick jumped to life, and it didn’t go down until I did something about it. The number of times I’d jerked off the past week was insane. I was shocked that my right arm still functioned. Even now, I had to reach down and adjust myself because my cock was getting excited at the mere thought of his name.
My too-short encounter with Shay-Lee had left me confused, horny, and desperate for more. Not only did he take me by surprise, but his actions weren’t done by someone who lacked sexual experience. He knew exactly what he was doing. Did it mean it wasn’t his first time with a guy? Was he in the closet? Gay? Bi? And then there was that thing he’d said.
Help me forget.
My mind had been mush when he said those words, so I couldn’t ask what he had meant. But now? I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Help me forget. Forget what? Now that I was clear-headed, I wanted to ask him, but I didn’t know how to bring it up.
After the weekend passed, I was scared Shay-Lee would avoid me, but it didn’t happen. He treated me the same way as always, and while it was great he wasn’t ignoring me, it sucked that we were back to our old selves as if it never happened. The only thing that had changed was me. I started seeking his attention, and while doing so, I noticed the way he looked at Miles. He stole glances his way and seemed to worship him with his eyes.
Yeah. I was ninety-nine percent sure Shay-Lee was in love with his best friend, but that didn’t upset me. If anything, it gave me a goal: to make Shay-Lee look at me the same way he looked at Miles.
That night, I’d been privileged to be the center of his attention, even for a few moments. The goal of his desires. This brief yet powerful sensation made me eager for more. I had a taste, perhaps even less than that, but it motivated me and gave me hope for more.
My thoughts were suddenly cut when a sweaty towel landed on my head. Don’s laughter that came right after confirmed he was the one who threw it at me.
“Ugh, that’s disgusting,” I mumbled as I shrugged the filthy cloth off me.
“What’s the matter, Jordy-Boy? Have a problem with some sweat?”
“Only when it’s stinky like yours. For God’s sake, Don, when was the last time you took a shower?” I asked, repulsed, as I threw the towel into our gym’s laundry basket. We’d had practice earlier today and had stuck around for some weightlifting.
“I like to smell like a man.” Don grinned while flexing his biceps. His muscles were nice. Too bad he had such a shitty personality. We used to be best friends years ago, but now I only put up with the twins’ crap so they wouldn’t gang up on me. They were obnoxious idiots, on top of being mean motherfuckers, and I’d come to learn that fact when we’d entered high school. I’d assumed they’d grown out of it, but they hadn’t.
The door to the gym burst open, and in walked Shay-Lee, talking into his phone, dressed in a pair of sexy running shorts and a sweat-drenched shirt.
That’s a sweat I don’t mind mixing with.
“I don’t care about your flight. Just go without me,” he snapped into his phone, ended the call and shoved the device into his pocket.
“What’s the matter, pretty boy? Was it Chloe trying to get back with you?” Lin smirked from beside his brother.
“Yeah, sure. As if he’s going to take that slut back after she whored around with that piece of cheap trash,” Don added as he took the bench and started doing some chest-fly.
“What the hell are you even talking about?” Shay-Lee asked, sounding unfazed by their stupidity.
“Seriously, bro. Are you getting back together?” Ty decided to join the conversation.
How did they even end up talking about Chloe?
“You know she’s going around school telling shit about you, right?” Ty added, and I was suddenly interested in what he had to say.
“What shit?” I asked and caught Shay-Lee’s attention on the way.
Ty looked at me momentarily, surprised I was even listening, before walking up to Shay-Lee and wrapping an arm around him. “She’s saying our quarterback can’t get it up.” He blew him a kiss before Shay-Lee pushed him away and rustled his hair.
