I can feel my cock throbbing in my pants as I wait for Taylor to show up. I’ve been waiting every day for three years for an opportunity like this to present itself. Just me and Taylor alone, getting to know one another, having the opportunity to explore our feelings.
I know it wasn’t just me who felt the tension between us when we sat through her father’s birthday meal, stealing glances at one another, wishing it was just the two of us in the room. I wonder if she’s thought about that night since, though. I wonder if she falls asleep every night thinking about the possibilities of how things would be if we were left to our own devices. I wonder if she’s found that feeling elsewhere, or whether she’s clung to how she felt that day, just as I have. Because that night, Taylor made me feel things I’ve never felt before in my life.
I know it’s wrong. I know I shouldn’t be lusting after my best friend’s daughter. She’s twenty years younger than me, only just out of college, and way too good for me. She’s literally perfect, and there’s not a single man on Earth that deserves her. When I close my eyes, I see her perfect body. Her curvaceous hips, her full chest, her pouted lips, and her soft blonde curls that fall around her shoulder. She looks just like an angel, and I feel like the devil who has shown up to corrupt her. The things I want to do her are certainly not fit for an angel.
But that doesn’t matter, because I have to hold myself back anyway. Just because I’m finally going to be alone with her, it doesn’t mean I’m going to get what I want. I know that a young woman like her can have her pick of men. Why would she want someone twice her age, or someone so close to her father? And of course, pursuing Taylor would ensure that my partnership with her father would be done for good. It’s a risk I can’t afford to take…
And yet I want to take it anyway.
I wait as patiently as I can for her to arrive, but I can feel my blood boiling under my skin. This excitement is almost too much for me. Three years is a long time to wait for her, though it feels like I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment. The moment feels electrically charged like it was always meant to be like I’m about to get everything I’ve ever wanted.
And then I look up and see her.
She looks a little timid as she walks into the arrivals with just a small bag on her shoulder. She’s dressed professionally, ready for her interview, but not even a professional dress can hide her sexy curves. My eyes drift over her body, desperate to lap every inch of it up. I’m hard again, desperate to have her right here in the middle of the airport. I want to rip that dress right off her and fuck her where she stands, coming deep inside her and putting a baby in her. This primal instinct has emerged from nowhere, sending me wild, making me feel like I’m an animal. How can one woman have such an effect on me?
She approaches me, barely able to meet my eye. I managed to keep my composure, but seeing her now, all I want to do is to kiss her. It feels like only a few seconds have passed since I saw her last, even though these past three years without her have felt like an eternity. Now she’s here, it all melts away. She stops just short of me, smiling at me shyly.
“Hi,” she says quietly. “I guess you’re my ride for the day?”
As soon as she says it, she blushes, and I smirk. It’s a slip of the tongue, but one I have to admit I like. The thought of her riding my cock is almost enough to make me grab her and have her right here and now. But I remain calm. I don’t want to scare her off when we’re only just exploring these feelings.
“It’s good to see you, Taylor,” I say, my voice coming out as a growl. Her smile widens and she finally meets my eyes properly.
“It’s good to see you, too,” she whispers. She stumbles as someone pushes past her roughly, knocking her with his bag. I growl in annoyance, grabbing the man’s arm.
“Watch where the hell you’re going,” I snarl, glaring at the man. He’s clearly oblivious to what he did, because he just glances over his shoulder, wondering what went wrong.
“Sorry, I guess,” he says with a shrug. I keep a strong grip on his arm.
“Tell the lady you’re sorry, not me,” I growl. He finally has the sense to look a little worried. He turns to Taylor, looking apologetic.
“Sorry if I pushed past you...I didn’t mean any harm.”
“That’s okay,” Taylor says gently. It’s not okay at all, but I can see she doesn’t want to cause a scene, and I don’t want to upset her. I let the man go and he scurries away without another word. I turn to Taylor, touching her arm and trying to ignore the electricity sparking between us.
“Are you alright?”
“I’m okay,” she says, smiling. “Thank you, though. It was nice of you to protect me.”
“I’ll always protect you,” I growl before I can stop myself. But I don’t regret saying it. Now that she’s here with me, I know I won’t ever be able to let her go. I know there’s no chance of me ever stepping aside to let another man have her. She’s mine now, and I’ll protect her for now and for always.
Even if wanting her costs me everything.
Chapter Two
Taylor
Getting into Ryker’s car feels like I’m in a dream. I wasn’t as ready as I thought to see him again. Even with the slight warning from my dad that I might see him again, nothing could prepare me for seeing him across the room. Now, he’s welcoming me into the car, offering to take my bag for me, opening the door of his Mercedes to help me into the passenger seat. He’s such a gentleman that it only makes me want him even more.
As I get myself seated in the car, I can feel my heart racing. As if I wasn’t nervous enough about the interview this afternoon, now I’ve got this anxiety added on top of it. I had plans to prep for the interview with my dad as we drove, but I know this car ride is going to be very different now that I’m spending it with Ryker.
Ryker gets into the front seat and straps in. I take a moment to stare at his perfect form. Under his expensive suit, he’s sculpted like a God. I know without even having to see for myself. His jaw is lined with light stubble that only accentuates the sharp lines of his face. His dark eyes focus on the road ahead as he starts the engine and begins the journey from the airport into the city. I can feel my heart hammering in my chest. There’s no going back now.
“Your father sends his apologies for not being here,” Ryker says. I’m already accustoming to his deep voice and the protective lilt in his tone that makes me feel so safe. I sigh at his comment. Though I’m more than glad to be in the car with Ryker right now, I can’t help feeling let down by my father once again.
“I’m used to it by now,” I whisper. “I guess this isn’t the most important event he’s ever missed. He’s missed some big moments.”
“Like what?”
