Teasing apparently riled him up because before I knew it, I was being pressed down against the mattress, my hands held tightly above my head. “You bet your fine little ass I’m jealous. Last night, I told you exactly what was going to happen.” He bent down and bit on my neck roughly. “What did you agree to last night?”
I could barely think, he was driving me crazy. I wrapped my legs around him, trying to pull him closer to where I needed him.
“Answer me,” he growled.
“That…uh…” He pulled back, waiting for me to tell him what he wanted to hear. “I’m yours.”
With a glint in his eye, he suddenly flung the sheets off the bed and proceeded to fuck me harder than I’d ever been before.
Two hours later, it was close to checkout time, so we had to get ready to leave. I was sad our time together was coming to an end. We started to get dressed for the second time this morning when Mac caught me off guard.
“I’m going to talk to Viking as soon as he comes back into town.”
“What?” I wasn’t expecting that.
There was no way I was ready to tell my father about me and Mac. Our relationship, or whatever it was, just started. More importantly, I didn’t want Viking to think any less of me. Like I was a dumb girl hooking up with just anybody.
Mac must have heard the nervousness in my voice because he asked, “What’s the problem?”
“I just think this”—I motioned between the two of us—“it just happened last night. Do we really need to tell him anything yet?”
I could see a hint of anger in his eyes. “Let’s get something straight right the fuck now. You’re either mine, or you’re not. You’re either in this, or it’s not happening. I’m not going to play games with you. We’ve been doing that for weeks, and I’m done. Decide now what you want.” He stood there with his arms crossed in front of his chest, staring at me, waiting for me to get my shit together.
“I’m in. I want to be with you.” It was the truth. “But, I don’t want to cause any issues between you and my dad, Mac. You know he’s going to be pissed about this, right?”
His jaw tightened, but I knew I’d made my point. “I’m not hiding shit,” he said, brokering no further argument.
I understood where he was coming from. The Desert Sinners were a true brotherhood, where trust and respect were the two most important things they gave to each other. I couldn’t fault him for treating this situation the same as he would anything else that concerned Viking.
I’d figured out early on that Mac was his own man and while he respected Viking greatly, he still had his own opinion and did things his way. I didn’t doubt his sincerity about wanting to be with me, especially if he was willing to risk Viking’s anger. It felt like I was officially part of this new world I’d entered, and it was both terrifying and exhilarating.
“And when it comes to Viking, I’m going to be honest with him,” Mac continued. “He deserves more than my disrespect by hiding what’s going on with his daughter.”
“I get it. I’m just nervous.”
“I understand, but it’s going to happen. You have a few days to decide if you want to be there with me or not when I talk to him. But I am talking to him the minute he returns.”
“I’ll be there,” I said, with no hesitation, and judging by the smile on his face, I knew I’d made the right decision.
