Zach chuckles. Smirking, he looks Jack up and down. “Maybe you do have an outlet for fucking.”
“Yeah.” Ashley steps forward. “Is Jack taking one for the team? Or maybe all for the team?”
“Hey.” Emma’s brow scrunches as she glares at Ashley. “That’s not cool.”
I smile and knock Zach’s hand off my shoulder. “We’re all committed to fucking one girl.”
“Sounds boring.” Zach scoffs.
“So you two aren’t exclusive then?” I wait to see what Sidney does. It was the one thing she wanted from Luke. Exclusivity. She didn’t like him fucking around, but he didn’t give a shit what she wanted. She always came back for more. “Brewster’s dick wasn’t enough for you, Sidney?”
She laughs and drapes her arms around Zach. “I’ve found a real man.”
Her gaze hunts for Luke. Yeah, that bitch is still digging at that hole even though it leads to nowhere.
“How long do you think the little virgin will hold out?” Zach asks Sidney.
Sidney laughs. “Maybe the whole year.”
“For fuck’s sake.” Harper pushes between Jack and me and steps in front of us. “Not that it’s any of your business, but I’m not a virgin anymore.”
Jack wraps a hand around her hip and draws her back against him. “She’s ours.”
Sidney actually looks a little shocked. A storm moves across Zach’s face before it clears. Yeah, that fucker is the one. We need to make a plan how best to put him down.
“You work fast.” His gaze takes her in.
“Fuck, there’s no winning with you guys. First, I’m a whore, then I’m a prude, what next? A slut. Fuck off. I chose and I chose them.” Harper takes my hand in hers. She trembles, and I entwine our fingers.
It’s not how she wanted to put it out there, but it should be effective. By the end of tonight, everyone will know she’s no longer a virgin.
“Well, fuck, darling. I didn’t know you needed a whole team to make you surrender.” Zach’s grin is feral. Thedarlingisn’t lost on me. Nor is Harper’s reaction to the word.
Her hand crushes mine. “Only assholes have to trap a girl to fuck her.”
With her brows furrowed, Sidney glances at Zach with a questioning look.
Zach laughs. “Let’s go, Sidney. I need a drink and your mouth tonight.”
Sidney remembers her surroundings. Her face clears before she sneers at Harper. “Tick tock, little whore.”
Ashley fixes a glare on me before she follows the others.
Harper wraps her hand around my arm. Her brown eyes plead with me. “I need a breather.”
We can’t all disappear right now. Not after that confrontation. I glance at Luke.
“Five minutes,” I mouth to him and he nods.
Jack murmurs something in Harper’s ear before he returns to the couch. I draw Harper to the door and put in the code. As soon as we’re through the door and it shuts behind us, she sags against me.
“That was him,” she whispers as she clutches my shirt.
