TEN DATES TO FALL IN LOVE

FLETCHER

THIRTEEN WEEKS PREGNANT

“Alright.” Grace taps her can of pop on the table. “Operation RTF’s first meeting has begun.”

A few weeks have passed since the meal with Lydia’s parents, and things have been awkward. It’s like the walls I erected all those years ago have crumbled, and all I can think about is how badly I need her. She’s my every waking thought. I can’t focus on anything but her.

It doesn’t help that we’ve lost the last three games, and we’re about to leave for a two-week away trip tomorrow. Things feel so off-kilter between us that even my regular pre-game call with her hasn’t worked. I’m playing like crap, and I can’t get my head on straight. Which is why it’s so important to make a plan I can start implementing as soon as we get home.

“So, what’s the plan?” Calvin sits, holding his seltzer water.

Lydia is at work, and the guys and I are off today, only having a morning practice.
