Highlander’s Viking Sin

Her sin can no longer be kept secret.

Isla has heard about many Viking attacks close to her village, and they have all been for gold, but her case is different. When vicious Northmen stop her carriage, they force her and her son to come with them, and Isla knows that no amount of money can buy their freedom… Isla has been living in fear that her well-kept secret will someday destroy her life; her ten-year-old boy is half Viking and the son of a vicious Viking Earl!

Besides her family, Emmel Hoffstad, the famous warrior and future Laird of his clan, has been the person closest to her. But even he did not know about the secret identity of her son. Thus, when Emmel hears about the abduction, he thinks that this is an attack like any other and blames himself for not protecting them.

Everyone can see that the Highlander cares for Isla and her boy, but Emmel can never be with her because he will be a Laird. That means that he must marry a woman who has no children and who will provide a valuable alliance. However, Emmel can not live knowing that Isla and her son are in the hands of bandits, and thus he begins on a journey to locate them.

When he realizes that they are kept in a Viking village, the future Laird decides to disguise himself as a worker to enter the settlement and save them. Emmel is trying to keep a low profile but when he finally finds Isla he is surprised as she does not want to return. She fears that if she does, the Earl will hunt them down until they agree to stay with him or kill them if they do not comply.

Emmel is running out of time, and he is risking his life for two people that can never become his family, but Isla seems unwilling to receive his help. Unfortunately, the Viking Earl has created a secret plan behind her back, and Isla is about to be separated from her son forever! If only she knew that earlier, she would have trusted Emmel much sooner…
