Screwed up single alien seeks quiet, calm female to stay out of his way and not bother him. So long as his family like her, that’s all that matters. Noisy scatterbrains are not an option.
Talyn Dazan feels broken. His empath ability is too strong, so he lives his life blocking everything. Anger, rage, sadness, happiness. He can’t cope with the noise seeping from other people’s heads. But a plea from his sister sees him looking for love at My Single Alien. If he can find a single human female to tolerate being around, that will be enough.
Sinead Murphy’s a good time girl. She can drink anyone under the table and lives by the motto: I’m not here for a long time, I’m here for a good time. Life is too short to worry. Her Momma taught her that. Beautiful, outgoing, and a commitment-phobe, she still loves a good old-fashioned romance, that’s why her job at My Single Alien is such fun. That is when she’s not nursing a hangover and hiding from the big boss, Diadora.
When the latest batch of hopeful single aliens arrive on Prodigy, Sinead’s on the case, fluttering her lashes and making sure they’re happy. Then Talyn stomps off his ship, and her charm fails her.
What should have been a simple case of matching lonely hearts goes wrong when Sinead’s signs up for much more than she bargained for with Talyn. And when Talyn almost loses his mind after a dangerous encounter with another empath, he faces a life or death situation.
Can Sinead find a bigger meaning to life than the next two-for-one cocktail night at the Enchanted Captain? And will Talyn discover that scatty and loud is not always a bad thing? In fact, it might just change his life.
