Not His Bride

I married the man who wanted my sister. I just didn’t know it until our wedding reception.

Four weeks ago, I’d barely spoken to billionaire Gallagher Cortez. Then our families decided a marriage was the perfect way to secure a merger, and suddenly I was walking down the aisle toward a man I’d secretly wanted for years.

Maybe it was reckless, but Gallagher made it easy to believe we have a connection. He noticed the parts of me everyone else overlooked. He made me laugh. At the altar, he promised to see me for who I actually was.

For a few hours, I believed him. Until my sister stood in front of three hundred wedding guests and pressed play. The video showed Gallagher negotiating with my father before our engagement. Only by “negotiating” he was asking for my sister. Fighting for my sister, even.

And when he was told he couldn’t have her?
Fine. Lilith, then.
I was the consolation prize.

So, still wearing his ring and my wedding dress, I stood in front of everyone and asked for an annulment.

Gallagher Cortez may have settled for me once. Now he’ll have to convince me I’m the only woman he wants.
