“I feel at a disadvantage since I don’t know the route,” I admitted, glancing to my left, then my right.
“Keep up,” Ian said, his eyes sliding over me. “Or don’t. I happen to be quite fond of that ass. Don’t mind ogling it a little before breakfast.”
His comment sent a bolt of heat through me, both unexpected and welcome. While Ian and I had shared those few minutes in the basement yesterday, he hadn’t made any advances since.
“Five miles,” Isaac stated, pulling his leg back and stretching his quad. He motioned toward my watch. “Route’s up to you if you can’t keep up.”
“Yes, Sir.”
I made it back to the house in thirty-seven minutes, with five-point-one miles logged. A personal best, which had me smiling when I walked in through the back door, intending to have breakfast ready by the time the twin Doms arrived.
“You made it,” Isaac said, downing a bottle of water as he stood at the kitchen island.
He was covered in sweat, his hair slicked back, his breaths returning to normal.
“What was your time?” I asked, glancing between them.
“Twenty-nine,” Ian said with a shit-eating grin.
“No way.”
He passed over his phone. There on the screen was the GPS of his route including the time and distance.
“Son of a bitch,” I grumbled, curling over and placing my hands on my thighs.
“So you have met our mother?” Ian teased, but the look on his face said he wasn’t really joking.
“Can I grab a shower, Sir?” I aimed the question at Ian.
“Of course. Just remember to leave the clothes behind when you return.”
“Yes, Sir.”
“I’m going to join you,” Isaac said.
As I started toward the guest room, I learned he’d meant that literally. I thought he was going to do the same, only in his shower. A tremor of awareness skated down my spine, warming my already overheated body.
“Unless you have a problem with that,” he stated as I slowed my pace.
“Not at all, Sir.”
“Good.”
He began stripping as soon as we stepped into the guest suite bathroom, which was more like some fancy spa. They’d gone all out in the house, from the rooms I’d seen. But mine especially. This entire side of the house was dedicated to a guest suite, complete with adjoining entertainment area.
While I fumbled to get out of my shorts, Isaac was in the shower, flipping on the water, then standing beneath it. Steam instantly started to flow up from the floor, hindering my view of all those sleek, toned muscles. The man was gorgeous, no doubt about that, but it was his control that appealed to me the most. Of both brothers, Isaac seemed to have himself on the shorter leash, revealing nothing.
As though he realized I didn’t know what to expect here, Isaac stepped back, motioned for me to take a turn beneath the spray. The water was cooler than I’d anticipated, but it did little to bring down my body temperature. I figured that had a lot to do with the man now standing behind me.
When I turned, he stepped into my personal space, his eyes hot, fierce as they locked on my face. I knew he was going to kiss me before it happened, but the lip-lock still caught me off guard. He gave no quarter, his tongue thrusting into my mouth as he backed me up against the tile. I moved with him, my hands sliding over his slick skin. Warm, wet, it felt good to touch him, to be touched by him.
I’d had no physical intimacy with anyone in such a long time, it was easy to surrender to it. This was what I’d always fantasized about, a man who would use me, command me. And not abuse me in the process.
Isaac and I hadn’t talked much since I arrived, but I got the feeling he wasn’t a wealth of information on a good day. While Ian was the inquisitive type, Isaac was more the strong, silent type.
I had a penchant for both.
His hand slid behind my neck, holding me in place as he pulled back. “Did you enjoy kissing Everly last night?”
There was no heat in his words, just simple curiosity, as though he needed to know how I felt.
“Yes, Sir,” I rasped. “I’ve wanted…”
“Tell me,” he urged, his voice deep, assertive.
“I’ve wanted to taste her for so long.” My breaths began to increase again. “I can’t give her what she needs. That’s the only reason I’ve refrained. But I can’t deny I’ve wanted it.”
His eyes scanned my face for a second before he crushed his mouth to mine again. I could taste his approval and it singed my insides. I burned for him, my entire body aflame with a need so intense I expected to be turned to ash. I didn’t know what this was, what any of it was. I’d never found myself in a situation like this, but it wasn’t awkward. In fact, in just the short time I’d been here, it felt more right than anything I’d ever experienced. I was given the space I so desperately needed, the silence that I rarely got to find in the normal world. Everly and Heaven had always respected it, but I’d seldom entered into a relationship where a guy understood I couldn’t give him one hundred percent because I didn’t have it to give.
