I didn’t want him to be in a better position. I liked him just the way he was.

Pulling back, I looked up at him. “Sir, I don’t want to be with anyone else but you right now.”

I knew I couldn’t say too much because he wouldn’t want to hear that either. I’d already made that mistake that morning. I had no intention of pushing him away, making him think I wanted more than he was willing to give.

Which meant I had to tread lightly.

“I don’t want you to either,” he said, curling his fingers behind my neck as he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine. “Come on. Let’s finish in here and we’ll go for a ride. It helps to clear the mind.”

“Horses?” I asked, my eyes wide.

Sir chuckled, turning me to face the water and swatting my butt. “Yes. Horses. Now hurry up.”

“Yes, Sir!” I definitely wasn’t going to argue with that.

Twenty-Eight

“SIR, ARE THERE RULES THAT I should know about?” I asked when we left the house to go to the club later that night. It had been a relatively normal day, with the exception of the fact that I’d been battling anxiety over going to this club every single second.

“Yes, there are rules.”

“Will I be allowed to speak? Or look people in the eye?”

Sir’s gaze darted over to me and he grinned. “Yes. For the most part.”

I frowned. “What does that mean?”

“It means, you’re there with me tonight. Should another Dom try to engage you in play, I expect you to politely excuse yourself and find your way back to me. You must show respect for any Dom you encounter.”

“We’re going to be separated?” I didn’t like the idea of that.

“If it happens, it’ll only be for a few minutes.”

I nodded, then forced my gaze out the window. I wasn’t sure why disappointment flooded me, but the idea of Sir taking me to a club and then abandoning me wasn’t appealing at all. Certainly not at a BDSM club where another Dom might want to…do whatever.

“If you’re watching a scene, you need to be silent. Do not interrupt or draw attention to yourself.”

“Yes, Sir,” I mumbled.

“And when we scene together tonight, you know your safeword, right?”

I had to look at him then. “I don’t know what it means to scene, Sir.”

He smiled, his eyes on the road. “I’ve got something in mind for you, pet. You’ll enjoy it, I promise.”

“Will I be naked in front of people?”

“Yes.”

I swallowed hard. I’d gotten used to it in front of my bosses, even managed at the island, but the idea of being in a club full of people I didn’t know…it kind of freaked me out. It would be like on the island, only I would have more time to fret about it. I didn’t do well with all that time to think.

Then again, it wasn’t like the outfit I had on covered much anyway. The ruby-red corset was definitely sexy and the indecently short miniskirt flared out when I moved, which, I knew, exposed me to any curious eyes. After all, Sir hadn’t allowed me to wear panties tonight.

My favorite part of my wardrobe was the boots though. I had been surprised when Sir asked me to wear them. They were black leather, high-heeled, and went over my knees. I never considered them something a submissive might wear, but I definitely didn’t tell Sir that.

In my opinion, I looked hot. If it were up to me, I’d like to keep the clothes on, but it wasn’t my decision and I was cognizant of my role tonight, despite my reservations.

“I expect Langston, Ben, and Justin to be there, so you’ll be protected.”

“Protected from what?”

“Since you aren’t collared, the other Doms won’t know that you’re spoken for.”

“Oh.” I looked out the window again. This whole collar thing kind of pissed me off.

“Word will get out quickly that you’re there with me, so you won’t have to worry about it.”

I wasn’t worried about that, but I didn’t feel like elaborating, so I kept my trap shut.

“I’m bringing you here tonight to introduce you to the club scene. I want you to get a taste of what it’s all about. While I know you’ve done your research online, and you’ve had a small taste, I don’t think you truly grasp it yet. And that’s understandable. You can read every book and every blog out there, but you won’t really understand until you’re in the middle of it.”

I nodded.

“You will call me Sir. At no point will you use my name. If you speak to Langston, you will refer to him as Master.”

A chill raced down my spine at the thought of seeing Master while I was with Sir. Even more appealing was the idea of being with them both at the same time. Okay, so maybe this club thing wouldn’t be as bad as I thought.
