He then moved to my dresser, doing the same with my panties and bras. Not wanting to feel useless, I packed up my makeup and other bathroom necessities while he rummaged through my unmentionables. Since I would be staying with him, I made sure to take everything I used.

Once I was finished packing, I joined Sir in the living room.

“Do you have any medications you need to pack?”

I held up a small bag. “Just my birth control pills.”

“Very good. You’ll need to contact your doctor, see if it’s all right if you skip the sugar pills.”

“So that I skip my period?”

“Exactly.”

Well, I definitely liked that idea. I’d actually talked to my doctor about it before. Back when I took a cruise a few years ago. In an effort to avoid the inconvenience of a period, she had advised that it wouldn’t be a problem. I shared that information with Sir and he seemed pleased.

“Have everything?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Good. Let’s go home.”

I wasn’t sure why, but the sound of that was music to my ears. Sir grabbed two large bags and I grabbed a couple of smaller ones. I then locked up my apartment and we headed back down to his truck.

“You have horses!” I exclaimed, looking out the back window of the huge ranch house that Sir had taken me to. The place was enormous and the second I walked in the door, I felt as though I was at home. In every square inch of the place, I saw bits and pieces of Master and Sir. It was open and airy yet warm and comfortable. I couldn’t wait until I could take a full tour.

Sir chuckled softly, peering over at me. “We do. Have you ever ridden a horse?”

“No. But I’ve always wanted to.”

“Good to know.” He moved to stand behind me. “Tonight, I want you to get settled in. Check everything out, make yourself at home.”

He seemed so casual while I was tied up in knots. Perhaps he knew that and he was attempting to put me at ease.

“Give yourself a tour of the house while I throw something together for dinner,” he instructed. “You can unpack your things in my bedroom.”

He pointed toward a room on the far side of the living room. “There are two master bedrooms. Downstairs is mine, upstairs is Langston’s.”

Giddy about the opportunity to explore, I wasted no time at all. I hurriedly unpacked my things, placing them in a small section of the large walk-in closet inside the enormous bathroom.

The space reminded me a lot of Sir’s office. Very rustic in design yet comfortable.

After I had everything stashed in its place, I ventured into the living room, then toward the front of the house.

There was a dining room with a huge table that sat at least ten people. A matching dark wood hutch held glass dishes embossed with a barbed wire pattern. Across the open foyer was another room. I assumed it was originally a formal living room, but it had been converted into an office. I could imagine Sir and Master working in there when they were home.

“Come eat, sweet girl,” Sir called from the kitchen.

I hadn’t had the opportunity to make it upstairs, but I figured there was plenty of time for that, so I made my way to the kitchen.

“You have a lovely home, Sir,” I said as I took the seat he was holding out for me.

“Thank you. We enjoy it.”

“Have you always lived with…Langston?” I wasn’t sure how to refer to him. I’d been thinking of him as Master for so long, but I wasn’t sure what the protocol was when I was with another Dominant, so I opted for casual.

“I have. It’s never been something we’ve discussed; it simply happened.”

“The two of you are close.” It wasn’t a question because it was obvious.

“Yes.”

“I remember growing up,” I told him, “I always wanted a brother or sister. My mother informed me right away that she was never having any more children. She said my father was the one who wanted kids, not her.”

Sir frowned.

I chuckled, although there was no humor behind it. “It’s been obvious my entire life that my mother felt as though I was a burden. Looking back now, I think she was angry that my father died, leaving me with her. Thankfully, she met Jim not long after. My stepfather attended school functions when he could. Being a firefighter, it worked into his schedule fairly well. My mother, on the other hand, didn’t attend, even if she was home.”

Sir smiled, but I could tell it was forced. “As you can imagine, our mother attended every function for all three of us. Even when we didn’t want her to. And yes, King was also a big presence in our lives. He was there for meet the teacher, our school plays, most of our football and baseball games. Everyone knew who he was. The other mothers fawned all over him and my mother took pride in the fact that he was hers.”
