“Yeah. Four.”

She shrugged. “What about The Shoppes on the Hill. Or The Shoppes in the Hills?”

Jasiah laughed. “I’ll toss those out to the committee.”

He kissed her lips then glanced at the bags she’d brought in. “What’s all of this?”

“Ah, well, I bought Marni some cute colored bottles I found in the flower shop in town. And, I couldn’t help it. I bought this.” She reached into a bag and pulled out a cute yellow baby onesie.

Holding it up for him to see it said, “Daddy’s little hunting buddy.”

Jasiah’s eyes welled with tears as he stared at it. He swallowed, then nodded.

He pulled her to his body and hugged her tight. He whispered, “I can’t wait.”

Maya squeezed him to her tightly. He smelled musky and earthy and fantastic. But, she smelled barn on her sleeve.

“I should take a shower, I smell like a barn. Oh, Henry and Everleigh had a boy today. And, they’re having a baby around the same time as us. And, Spencer and Kenna are having one a month before us.”

Jasiah smiled. “You’ll need to tell me all of that later. I stopped listening when you said you needed to take a shower. I need one too, we finished mom’s cabin retrofit today.”

Maya’s lips spread across her face. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”

Jasiah took her hand and tugged her toward the bathroom. “I’m way ahead of you.”
