“If you like it, order it. This place is Christmas all year round, so playing into that theme makes perfect sense. And I bet we can get one of the elves to create a custom beach reindeer mobile for when we’re at your place.”

Jude let the tablet fall to his lap as he looked at me with wide eyes. “There are real elves?”

“Yeah.” I thought about it for a second. “Did I forget to mention them?”

He playfully smacked my thigh. “Uh, yeah. I think I would’ve remembered if you’d mentioned the existence of real-life elves.”

“Sorry. Sometimes I forget these things are all new to you.” I kissed his cheek, amused by his fascination with things that were so normal to me. “There’s an elven family who lives next door to my parents. We can go see them this weekend, and I’ll talk to them about it.”

Now Jude pulled away slightly, pulling his legs up closer to his chest. “Your parents? Will they like me or be mad that I’m human?”

I reached for him and pulled him onto my lap. “Of course they won’t be mad. They’re going to love you.” With my hand resting on his belly, I kissed his temple. “And they’re going to be so happy to be grandparents. I only have a few distant cousins, so every time a new Cupid is born, it helps to ensure the line will live on.”

Jude placed his hand over mine, pressing them against his still-flat belly. “Will our baby have your gift for matchmaking?”

“Probably. Sometimes, it skips a generation. But not usually. In my family, I’m not aware of any young being born without the gift. We just…” I paused for a moment and considered the best way to say it. “Well, fertility is sometimes an issue with my kin. I think my parents have worried that I might not be able to produce a child.”

Jude pressed his body even closer to mine, almost melting into me. “Well, whether we have one baby or ten, I hope they have all of your gifts.”

I laughed, allowing my heart to embrace the idea. “I don’t know about ten. Although…we could have one on every sleigh team. That would be pretty cool.” Technically, there were more teams than that, but he understood the sentiment. I’d spent hours explaining to Jude that Santa was actually a job title that many men held.

Delivering all those gifts around the globe wasn’t something a single team could do.

“What if they don’t like me?” He picked at one of the buttons on the front of my Henley. “I mean, we aren’t even married or anything.”

He was so damn cute. “Sweetheart, things aren’t the same here as where you’re from. As soon as you accepted the relationship with me, and by extension, the bond, we were basically married. And when my dad sees the bond with his own eyes, he’ll be thrilled to meet you. There is nothing stronger than a bond matched by Cupid. Nothing.”

Jude wrapped his arms around my neck and kissed me hard, smoothly shifting his body so he was straddling my lap. Our kisses grew in intensity until we were both tearing at the clothes separating our bodies, desperate to feel skin on skin. “Take me, alpha. I need to feel you inside me.”

A growl rumbled out of me as I stood up, carrying Jude with me to the bedroom.

He showered my face and neck with kisses while we moved, until I gently lowered him onto the mattress. My body was ready to take him, but I had a new set of concerns now that he was pregnant. “Are you sure it’s okay? I won’t…hurt the baby, right?”

Jude smiled and cupped my cheek with his palm. “It won’t hurt me or the baby. And if you think I can wait almost a year before having sex again, you are delusional.”

I chuckled and nipped at his lower lip. “Well, I’m not going to argue with that, but if anything hurts, you have to promise to tell me immediately.”

He had the nerve to roll his eyes. “You’re adorable when you’re silly.”

I wasn’t trying to be adorable or silly, but I could scent his arousal, and my body wasn’t wired to ignore his needs. “I’ll show you silly…”

With quick moves, I relieved Jude of his clothes before stepping out of mine. My cock was hard and aimed right at his opening, as if it were a heat-seeking missile that knew exactly where to land.

Only seconds passed before I was sliding into him, no longer needing to prep him in the same way now that his body was accustomed to mine, almost reshaped to take me at any moment in time.

“Yes, Arrow.” He hooked his legs around my torso and pulled me deeper into him. “Give it all to me.”

“It’s yours, sweetheart.” I held in place for a long moment before slowly pulling out. “I’m all yours. Forever.

THIRTEEN

JUDE

Arrow’s family was amazing. And I wasn’t just saying that because they absolutely loved me, even though they totally did.

He wasn’t kidding when he said they’d been worried about him. Apparently, there was somewhat of a curse in the Cupid family that left many of them single for their whole lives. It didn’t always happen, but finding a bonded mate wasn’t a guarantee. In fact, they were divorced but seemed like they were best friends. But since they weren’t bonded, the romantic aspects of their relationship didn’t stick.

Because the Cupids were able to see if a bond existed or not, they generally didn’t waste their time on relationships if they weren’t bonded.
