Using my thumb, I wiped off the word reserved for the corner booth. Grabbing the black marker, I added reserved to a booth a couple down and added my last name to the corner block.

Smiling wide, I handed the seating plan back to Sheila. “There we go, all fixed.”

Sheila looked at what I’d done, and I knew she would try and say something stupid like, ‘But I’ll get in trouble.’ “When did you start your shift, Sheila?”

“Oh…um…only like half an hour ago,” she stammered as she flicked her eyes between the seating chart, my face, and the furious glare that Ren was now giving her. I was fucking hard as a rock all over again, and it was for the girl that was shooting daggers at Sheila. The ‘I’m going to rip your hair out’ stare was better than any drug.

“Then, how could ya possibly get into trouble for something that was done before ya arrived? I mean, that’s clearly not yer handwriting. Come on, just this once, and I promise to leave ya with a really large tip.”

Sheila looked like she might pass out as I licked my bottom lip. Ren, on the other hand, looked like she was going to murder someone. I wanted to sit that furious and sexy as hell ass on my lap and fuck her here in the restaurant so bad that I would’ve paid any amount of money to have that as an option on the menu.

“Alright, I guess it couldn’t hurt just this once. Let me just mark it down.” I glanced at Ren as Sheila worked, and although she hadn’t said a word, I would’ve put money down on her to strangle Sheila if they were in the same boxing ring. I wonder if I could get her to mud wrestle or whipped cream wrestle, then I could lick it off her body.

“Right this way.” I shook my head to rid it of the way too sexy image of Ren naked and covered in cream, not all of it from a can.

Sheila led the way to the booth I’d confiscated from some other couple. Scooting into the booth, I watched Ren closely as she sat across from me, loving that she continued to glare at Sheila.

“Here you go. Your waitress will be by in a few moments.” Sheila gave me one last smile before she left. I pretended I didn’t notice Ren giving me the death stare and picked up my menu, only to have a piece of paper fall out from inside with a number on it.

I held it up between my fingers. Ren mumbled something under her breath that definitely had a few choice words as she picked up her menu, and I suddenly couldn’t see her face.

Smirking, I slipped out of my side of the booth and slid in beside her. She was fucking adorable as she tried to ignore me. Ren still didn’t look at me as I stretched my arm out to rest on the back of the bench behind her or when I leaned in to see her menu. She bristled, and I could see the muscles in her jaw working as she held herself back from giving me a piece of her mind.

“Do you mind? You’re crowding my personal space. Why don’t you run along and call your new friend? I’m sure she’d love to have you all up in her business. Every word from Ren’s mouth was so sharp they were like a bunch of tiny cuts.

Dropping my head to her ear, I whispered, “Are ya jealous, Snowflake?”

“No.”

“Are ya sure, cause ya kinda seem like ya are, but I thought ya didn’t want to date me?”

“I don’t want to date you.” She didn’t so much as blink in my direction.

“Hmm, I don’t believe ya Snowflake,” I growled softly and loved that her jaw clenched tight. “Because yer tone tells a different story.”

“I think you need to learn to read people better.” Ren turned her head, and our eyes instantly locked.

“Do ya want me to call her?” I traced her lush bottom lip with my thumb and savored the softness. I leaned in a little closer. “Cause I don’t think ya do.” Her glare softened slightly as she looked away only to stare at my lips. “Have I told ya tonight how pretty ya look?” Ren was wearing a shimmery silver top cut just low enough that it kept drawing my eyes down. “I wanna kiss ya, Snowflake.” My blood was racing through my veins as I closed the distance. “Tell me ya want me to kiss ya,” I growled softly, so close to her lips that I felt the warmth of her skin.

“Well, isn’t this adorable.” My eyes went wide. This could not be happening.

My body jerked straight at the familiar voice. I turned my head, and sure enough, there she was, my sorta ex wearing a waitress outfit. I didn’t know who hated me upstairs, but someone enjoyed fucking with me. That was the only explanation.

“Pam? What are ya doing here?” Stupid question, but I had no idea that she worked at all, let alone in a pub.

“You see, Myles working in a place like this is what one of us lowly, not-rich kids have to do to pay our bills, especially when our boyfriend decides to throw us from two stories up into a pool and ruins our uniform.”

Like a fucking laser beam, I could feel Ren’s eyes on my face, and I was suddenly being stared at by two women that I was sure wanted me dead.

“Ya were never my girlfriend,” I argued.

“Well, what do you call two people that go out on dates and have sex?” She crossed her arms over her chest.

“We were casual, just having fun, or were until ya put a label on us.”

She rolled her eyes. “Please spare me. You didn’t mind being called my boyfriend as long as I sucked you off and let you fuck me. It wasn’t until I said I didn’t want you to smack my ass and fuck me in front of people that you decided I was no longer interesting. But I see you already moved on. Not surprised, good for you.” Pam’s eyes went to Ren. “I feel sorry for you. If you’re smart, you’ll run for the hills and never look back. Myles McCoy only knows how to do one thing well other than fuck, and that’s fuck you over. He will stomp on your heart and leave you crying in a corner.”

“Thanks for the warning, but I can make my own decisions, starting with asking for a new waitress since you obviously can’t separate your work and personal life. So if you could get your manager, I’d appreciate that,” Ren said.
