“What time should I come tomorrow? Wait, where am I meeting you?” She giggles.

“Come to my office, Starks Industries. I’ll leave you a visitor pass at the front desk. It’s all valet parking, so let them park your car.”

“Okay.” She smiles. “You sure it’s okay to leave my car there?” I laugh. She’s adorable “What? I’m serious, I don’t want you to get into trouble with having my car there or god forbid it gets towed.”How is she going to react seeing my world?

“It will be fine, Amelia. I promise. What time should I expect you?”

“Is ten good?” I grin. “I have to wait for him to leave, to pack.”

“Perfect. And Amelia, bring your luggage inside with you, because once they park your car it’s parked.”

“Okay, I’m so excited.” I can hear her practically jumping.

“Oh me too, Ms. Amelia. You have no idea.” I flag Gerry into my office. “Amelia give me a sec.” I mute my phone while I inform Gerry of our plans.

I turn my chair back to the window. “Amelia,” I breathe her name.

“Mr. Starks,” she teases. “I can’t believe it’s really here. I’ve been waiting for tomorrow it seems like forever.”I love that.

“I know, me too. I went to my club last night. Tierra was back and wanting to dance.” I’m going to tell her about that Tara chick. I don’t want any secrets.

“Tierra’s back? I’m sure you two had a lot of fun.” I smile, it would have been better with her there.

“She hadn’t heard about you and I planning a trip.” I pause for a minute. “She brought a friend.”

“Oh, I see.” Amelia goes quiet. “Was she nice?”

“I sent her packing.”

“Really?” I can hear her smile.

“I danced with Tierra, only her.”

“You don’t owe me any sort of explanation Mr. Starks,” she tells me. “I am not naive. You’re a very attractive bachelor. I’ve seen the way women look at you.”

I laugh. “You don’t seem to understand. I don’t care what any of them think, only you. It’s only you in my mind. I just wanted you to know about it. I have no secrets with you.” I’m going to make sure she understands how deep my desire is for her. It’s way more than a few nights in the sack.

She’s quiet. “Amelia?”

“Yes, I’m here. I’m just thinking about what you said. I have no right to ask you to refrain from your desires.”

“My desire starts and ends with one person Amelia.”

“Damn,” she whispers, “sounds like we have quite the predicament.”

I smirk. “Why?”

“Mr. Starks, you’re a smart man. I’ll let you figure this one out. I’m sure you have some corporate relations that need your attention. I don’t want to be kept waiting tomorrow,” she teases.

“Well, played Ms. Amelia from Amelia. I cannot wait to see you. I’ll leave you to your scullery maid duties, so you’re not late leaving.” She laughs. “Ten tomorrow,” I confirm.

“Yes, ten.” She’s all breathy. I hear her disconnect the call.

AMELIA

Ipull in front of Starks Industries. He works in the tallest building in Jacksonville. “Wow!” I whisper to myself. The valet rushes to collect my car.

I open my door as the valet is reaching for the handle. “Amelia Johansson, Mr. Starks told me to give you my name.” Everyone is rushing about.
