Janae nodded before she gripped his head and pulled his lips back to hers. Kissing him was like a benediction, fire licking through her veins. His tongue pressed forward, mirroring the thrusts of his dick and sending electric shocks over her nerves. Their breaths entangled as they moved faster against one another until the wet slaps of their hips rang out in the room. She was so focused on tasting Aiden’s arousal from his lips, that she didn’t realize she was about to come until it was on the tip of her tongue.
“I’m going to come,” she gasped out, her words swallowed by his lips. She jerked up, fireworks exploding behind her eyelids when his pelvis brushed against the edge of her clit. That was enough to have her flying high.
“There you go, baby. Take it all.” Aiden was chanting when the ringing in her ears stopped. “I want to feel you come all over me.”
Janae tossed her head back when his thrusts gained new strength. “Fuck, Aiden.” She dug her nails into his shoulders and was rewarded with him moaning louder in her ear. When she scratched her nails down his back, his resulting grunt and thrust had her ears buzzing again.
“Come on,” she said a little meanly. “I want to know what you look like when you come.”
He groaned before one of his hands slipped between them. “You can’t just say shit like that.”
Janae opened her mouth to respond, but when a thumb circled her clit, she snapped her mouth closed with a hard click.
They moved faster, both moaning as they built up to the end. Janae tried to hold on, but when Aiden moaned again in her ear, his thumb catching her just right, that was it. She arched her back as her eyes slammed shut. Vaguely, she heard Aiden call out her name, but as she drifted along the wave of good feelings, all she could think was how one taste was not enough.
Chapter 20
Sunlight slanted across the floor as Janae sat staring at the paint samples she had laid out. Focusing was difficult when she could hear Aiden moving around in the bathroom across the hall. Every time she glanced up, she caught a glimpse of his broad back and the way his muscles shifted beneath his shirt. She didn’t know why she was pretending to not stare. She knew exactly how that back looked without clothing to cover all that honey brown skin. Hell, she knew just how soft it was and how good it felt against hers. And yet, here she was trying to deny the fact that she was more interested in looking at him than her canvas. It was deliciously frustrating, like the first sip of hot apple cider where you burn your tongue but can’t help but want to try again. She needed to get it together though. She only had an hour to try to get anything done on this painting before she needed to clean herself up and head to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins for her classes.
Her gaze still drifted back to Aiden until she finally gave up and went to shower. She felt a little better after she cleaned up and got herself together. She had planned to make a little solo-date of it by taking the scenic route to the farm so she could enjoy the foliage and stop at her favorite little café. She paused in the kitchen to pull out meat to thaw for dinner, her thoughts again drifting to last night. She touched her lips. She swore she could still taste the salt from Aiden’s skin on her tongue.
“Are you alright?”
She jerked when she heard Aiden’s voice and turned to see him standing in the doorway. He was wiping his hands with a rag, and her gaze followed the motion as the cloth disappeared between each of his fingers—fingers she now knew were just as adept at taking her apart as they were at putting things together.
“Yeah, I’m okay. Just thinking about dinner before I head out.”
Aiden smiled and she ignored the way it made her stomach flutter. She couldn’t understand how someone with such boyish charm and fucking dimples could reduce her to a shaking mess with mere touches and heated words. Well, he had done a little more than that, but the sentiment was still the same. Aiden presented as the sweet, kind guy who genuinely did nice things, like listening to her explain the difference between two types of paint when she knew watching it dry would’ve likely been more fun. Hell, he probably saved kittens from trees for shits and giggles. She wouldn’t be surprised if he had a cape hidden somewhere in his closet.
“I told you it was my turn to make dinner,” he said, his lips turning down.
She widened her eyes. “Are you pouting about me trying to cook again?”
“And if I am?” he asked with an eyebrow raise. “Are you going to back away from the fridge and put the dinner-making power back into my hands like a good girl?”
She gave him a look. “Call me a good girl again, and I might back you up before putting you over my knee.”
Aiden leaned in with a sharp smile. “Joke is on you. I might like that.”
Janae laughed and shook her head. She smacked him lightly on his chest and ignored how firm it felt under her hand. “You’re ridiculous.”
“Yeah, but you like it,” he said softly, leaning in. She closed her eyes as she pushed up on her tiptoes. But instead of a kiss, she heard a knock at the door.
They both turned. “Are you expecting someone?” Aiden asked.
Janae shook her head. “I don’t think so.” With a final pat on his chest, she walked over to the front door and opened it. “Oh, no. What are you doing here?”
“Good to see you too, sis.” Braeden stood there on the porch, hip cocked like she’d just stepped out of a magazine spread. Her curls were pulled up into a messy bun on top of her head and she had an overnight bag slung over her shoulder.
“Look at you,” she said, gaze sliding over Janae. “You look very domestic and, dare I say, almost peaceful.”
Janae sighed and stepped to the side, letting her in. “I thought you were giving me more time.”
Braeden snorted as she walked in. “And hello to you too. I missed you so much. Being without my other half was like torture as well.”
Janae chuckled and shook her head as she closed the door. “I can’t believe you flew all the way here.”
“Drove,” Braeden corrected her. “I flew to Atlanta and then drove down. I didn’t realize how close you were to the city.”
