She looked up at me, the dejection gone. “Yeah?”
“You want that, is that what I’m seeing?”
Her head moved in a circular nod. “Yeah. I mean, it’s not going to go well if we keep hiding for too long.”
“We could head to the clubhouse right now, Mick.”
She turned her hands up. “Yeah, and I’d like to, but I don’t want to put you in a bind. Before we do anything like that, I at least need to talk to Nickel…and Ricochet, but Nickel’s the one who will have the hardest time with it. Or at least he acted that way when he first met Ivy and thought she’d been involved with Lark.” Her lips quirked to the side. “And, I should probably talk to Lark. He might not be too pleased either, considering he told me to treat you like a regular paying customer back in September.”
“The fuck?” I asked.
She shrugged. “After our epic blow-up, you kept coming around and it struck me strange. I asked about you and why you’d be at On a Lark when you could drink at Platinum’s…and the fact I knew you were living with Sarah.”
I chuckled. “Woman, none of those assholes at Platinum’s will take me seriously if they see me warming a barstool next to them…and a good percentage of our customers are regulars. That word would get out. Not to mention, I like being around a certain dirty-blonde bartender who’s memorized my orders and can carry on a conversation better than anyone else I know.”
She smiled. “I have a gift of memorizing everyone’s orders.”
I dipped my chin. “Don’t lie to me. I asked Blood if you’d memorized his orders, and he said no.”
Her eyes widened. “Why in the world would you do that? He has the biggest mouth of all your—”
I moved to where she stood on the other side of the bed. “I didn’t say it quite like that. He figured you were working on it, and I’m there more often than he is.”
She ran her hands up and down my chest. “I probably shouldn’t tell you this, but I can’t wait to spend the night in your room at the clubhouse.”
My cock twitched at the idea. “Really?”
Her smile was sheepish. “Really.”
I tugged her ‘Naughty but Nice’ t-shirt up and off her. “Remember when I told you last week that I had things I wanted to do with you?”
She grinned while she undid my belt. “Yeah.”
“The one I didn’t tell you was fucking you at the clubhouse. It’s right up there with tying you up.”
With an eyebrow arch, she dragged a finger along the footboard of my new bed. “So that’s why you got this fancy new mission-style bed frame.”
I chuckled. “No, but I’m glad to see it can do double-duty.”
“Is it time to break in your bed?” she asked.
“You better believe it.”
I had an arm folded behind my head and the sheets pulled up to my waist when Mickayla came back from cleaning herself up. Watching her walk around naked had to be one of my new favorite things to do.
She climbed into bed and snuggled up beside me. “You gotta stop looking at me like that, sir.”
“Why? And like what?”
“Like I’m the sexiest woman you’ve ever seen. And the why is because I can’t take another dicking like you just gave me.”
I chuckled silently. “Is that a challenge?”
She put a hand on my chest and looked up at me. “No. I don’t think so. God, you’re a machine.”
The doorbell rang and my smile fell. I considered ignoring it, but on move-in day, that wasn’t the best idea. I knifed off the bed and tugged on my jeans.
“Who do you think that is?” Mickayla said, pulling the sheets tighter.
