Trixie aimed a devilish smile at her. “Wild Child.”
I laughed. “There’s no way Gamble will be—”
Trixie shook her head. “Turns out Enya sings a song by the same title…it’s gorgeous, almost as gorgeous as she is.”
Mickayla’s head tipped the side. “Okay, but what version am I dancing to with my hubby?”
I shot Mickayla a dry look. “You get to do that today because it’s our wedding day, but I’m your man, woman.”
“You two are dancing to his favorite group The Black Keys. Hell, I’m guessing that’s why he called you that from the jump.”
Mickayla’s gaze moved past Trixie and she gave a little hop. “Uncle Mick is here!” She looked at me, her eyes shining. “I can’t believe you got all these people here right under my nose.”
I wrapped my arms around her. “He’s family. I knew you wanted him to be here, and so did he. Told you, baby, there’s nothing I won’t do for you.”
A tear slipped out of the corner of her eye. I quickly swiped it away, careful of her makeup.
“You didn’t have to make him cook, you know.”
I nodded once. “I know, but he offered… more like resolutely insisted.”
Ricochet wandered up to us and put his hand on her neck and his other hand on my upper back. “Listen love birds, you can’t just huddle over here all evening. You’re going to have to mingle.”
I nodded. “We know, just give us a minute.”
The moment he left us, she cupped my cheeks. “Nobody loves me the way you do, Tundra. I’m never going to be able to reciprocate.”
“Yes, you will. You already have, sweetheart, because you took down the tinsel on our tree.”
She giggled. “That hardly counts compared to the way you make me feel every moment of every day.”
I gave her a short kiss. “Wild child, tinsel or no tinsel, no other woman could love me the way you do. You make me a better man every single day.”
