“Nobody tastes like you,” Zane panted, craning his neck to look at Asa over his shoulder, gazing at his husband like he was the sun and Zane had a vitamin D deficiency.

Felix snorted. Even half-drowned in dick, Zane somehow managed to look lovesick.

“Good boy,” Asa praised, gently kissing his shoulder, then sinking his teeth into the scar tissue there until Zane wailed.

His fingers spasmed against Avi’s thighs, blunt nails digging into his skin.

Avi groaned against Felix. The vibration shot through him, making Felix’s entire body clench.

Asa hurt Zane. Zane hurt Avi. Avi made Felix see fucking stars.

One perfect, filthy feedback loop.

When Asa unclenched his jaw, he licked over Zane’s wound like a wolf tending to his mate.

Felix didn’t quite get it, their need for pain, for violence.

Their love was brutal. Feral. There were nights when Asa would literally drive Zane to the country house, strip him naked, and set him loose in the woods before hunting him down and fucking him in the dirt until he cried.

Zane would come home limping and bloody, covered with bruises, leaves tangled in his curls and dirt beneath his nails, looking absolutely besotted with his maniac husband.

Avi liked pain, too. But he saw pain as a pressure release valve, a way to burn off the never-ending supply of energy he seemed to have.

For Zane, it was something else entirely. He loved the ferocity of it. He’d said it a hundred times, in a hundred interviews. Every time some sad-eyed reporter questioned him like he was a victim, eyes brimming with sympathy as they assured him it was a safe space if he needed help.

But they didn’t see what Felix saw. They didn’t live with him afterward.

Felix had seen Zane stand in front of the mirror, pressing each of his bruises, lids heavy with longing and a small smile on his face. He’d watched him twist sideways to inspect the ones he could barely reach, fingertips tracing the edges with ridiculous tenderness.

Pain was how he and Asa connected. Asa needed to hurt him as much as Zane needed to be hurt. Zane firmly believed the day Asa stopped hurting him was the day Asa stopped loving him.

And honestly, their relationship was kind of beautiful.

Felix didn’t get it, but he knew Zane was sincere. He loved every mark Asa left on him and mourned their loss when they faded, whining and begging until Asa took him upstairs and gave him new bite marks and bruises to poke and admire.

That was why there was now a permanent impression of Asa’s teeth in his shoulder.

Zane had begged him to bite him there over and over again until the mark stayed. Until Asa was written permanently into his skin.

Even now, Asa was biting hard enough to leave imprints deep enough for a dental mold along Zane’s shoulders, his biceps, even the skin just below his ribs.

Zane was blissed out, high off of it, pupils dilated as tears streamed down his face and sharp cries cut through the room.

Felix might not understand the pain, but he understood that expression. He knew what Zane looked like when he felt completely, utterly safe.

“You’re being so loud, Lois,” Asa teased. “Maybe this will quiet you down.”

Asa gently pushed Zane’s mouth back down onto Avi’s cock. Zane made a happy sound, swallowing him down eagerly, using Avi like a pacifier.

Avi squirmed beneath him, his tongue vibrating against Felix’s skin every time he moaned from something Zane did. Every reaction traveled through somebody else before reaching Felix.

Asa to Zane. Zane to Avi. Avi to him. That same filthy little circuit.

Felix was so lost in the sensation—and in watching Zane work Avi’s cock—that he didn’t even notice Asa stand and strip, or walk naked to Avi’s side table and pull the lube from the drawer.

Not until Asa returned and dropped onto his knees behind Zane.

Felix stared at Asa’s thick cock, so similar to Avi’s but just slightly different, a shade shorter, a bit wider.
