“Are you drunk, baby?” Felix teased, poking Zane’s nose.
“No, I just want to be squeezed,” Zane admitted.
Before Asa, Zane would have never admitted something like that out loud. And even after Asa, he probably wouldn’t have gotten specifically what he craved because what he craved couldn’t be put into words.
When Zane wanted to be squeezed, he needed to be…compressed. Held so tightly there was nowhere left for him to go. But not alone. Never alone.
Felix got it, though.
He wrapped his arms and legs around Zane in the enormous, bigger-than-king-size bed they occupied, which was nice, but wasn’t nearly enough until Asa slid in behind him and Avi did the same to Felix and they just fucking crushed him.
It was probably stupid to some people, but not them.
Asa likened it to a dog needing a thunder jacket—unflattering, but whatever—and Avi said it was like a weighted blanket. Zane didn’t take the comparisons personally.
The fact that they loved him enough to give him exactly what he needed warmed Zane on every level. He still couldn’t quite believe anybody could love him, much less three mass murderers.
Zane gave a contented sigh, tangled up in Felix’s arms, the warmth of Asa’s body bleeding into him where they were skin to skin.
They were all in their underwear.
Just their underwear.
It was stupid to wear clothes in a house where people often murdered together. There were communal showers to rid each other’s bodies of evidence. There were accidental run-ins post-sex. There were times when one or more of them just didn’t feel like going through the motions of putting on pants.
Tonight, they had started out clothed. All of them freshly home from work.
Well, not Zane. He worked from home.
Each morning, Felix and Avi would leave for their studios, Felix kissing Zane on the lips and Avi patting him on the head. Asa often lingered, pushing Zane to his knees or bending him over his desk before he left for work. He was never content unless he left some of himself behind in Zane, something that warmed Zane in a way he’d never voice out loud to another human being.
They’d also started out sober, eating Japanese food and watching a thriller where Asa, Avi, and Felix spent the entire film deconstructing the crimes, pointing out all the screenwriter’s mistakes.
When they’d realized Zane’s mother’s latest betrayal was still lingering in his mind, they’d resorted to their favorite decompression tactic.
Well, their second favorite. Thomas still refused to let the boys kill his mother. Part of Zane was grateful for that.
A very small part.
Instead, they played Let’s Kill Beverly until they were all a little…something.
They weren’t drunk. Well, Zane wasn’t drunk. The others didn’t appear drunk either, but Zane was certainly tipsy. They all seemed to be in the snuggly and hazy phase of their drinking.
Okay, he and Felix were snuggly and hazy.
Asa and Avi were horny, likely biding their time until the cuddle pile disbanded and they could go to their respective rooms with their respective mates and fuck their brains out.
Zane wanted Asa to fuck his brains out, obviously. Sometimes, it felt like he was holding his breath until Asa was inside him again, but this was nice, too.
So nice.
Felix smelled like lavender and strawberries. He always smelled like fruit because of his expensive lip balm, and each morning when he popped a kiss on Zane’s lips, Zane caught the barest hint of berries.
Zane sighed happily. Felix was soft and warm, like a cloud.
Zane forced back a laugh. “I love the way you smell,” he murmured, burying his head against Felix’s throat to inhale him, making Felix laugh.
“I love the way you smell, too, baby,” Felix promised, threading his fingers through Zane’s curls, letting him burrow.
