“He is correct. I have been attempting to acquire them for some time,” Leon continued. “Properties adjoining the Residence rarely become available, and when the opportunity arose to purchase all six, I took it. They give us greater control over access to the Residence, certainly, but I would have purchased them regardless.”
I looked between them. “They rarely become available, and all of a sudden six of them are just… poof, available? I know you're moving security personnel into those residences and into the lower level of our home. Is there something you're not telling me? Should I be worried?”
“No, sweet Omega,” Darius said. “This Residence was built primarily as a household. It wasn’t designed to accommodate the professional demands the five of us now place on it. Leon’s acquisition of the adjoining properties gave us the opportunity to complete work we had already planned.”
“We all hold senior offices within High Mountain,” he continued. “We conduct official business here, increasingly so since our mating, and we receive individuals whose presence requires additional protection. We also have occasions when we must accommodate personnel at very short notice. Moving part of the security staff into the adjoining properties allows us to manage those requirements more efficiently.”
“I apologise for the worry this has caused you and for failing to tell you that the work was taking place. I should have done so.”
“Yes,” Alaric said. “We will correct our communication, my heart.”
I turned back into Caius and rested my face against his chest again.
“Fine. Let this be our first official Pack argument, and we'll move on.”
“I believe it has been a remarkably productive one,” Lucien said. “However, we must return to our duties, my darling.”
“Okay, okay,” I muttered to no one in particular.
“Do you have five more minutes before you leave?” I asked Caius.
“For you, my love, yes.”
The room came back to life almost immediately. People returned to the table, conversations started again, holographic displays reappeared, and within seconds the others were dragged back to work.
Five minutes.
I wasn’t wasting any of them.
I took Caius’s hand and headed for the door, planning to find somewhere private, but then I noticed another door standing open along the carved library wall. Inside, polished stone, a long counter, and several basins.
A massive bathroom.
“Come with me.”
I changed direction before Caius could answer and pulled him inside. Then I tried to close the door.
It barely moved.
“Why is this door so heavy?”
Caius reached past me and pulled it shut with one hand. The thing closed with a deep, heavy thud, and suddenly I could barely hear the office anymore.
I stared at it.
“Never mind. I like the door.”
Caius's mouth moved slightly.
“You have four minutes and thirty seconds remaining, my love.”
I looked at him.
“Caius, do you know what a quickie is?”
I didn’t wait for his answer. I was already trying to find the fastening of his trousers, and my breathing was getting faster before I’d even managed to open them. His hands stayed at his sides while I pulled his already hardening cock free and started pumping him hard and fast, gathering up the skirts of my gown with my other hand.
“It's when you fuck hard and fast, baby.” I looked up at him. “How long do we have?”
