I close my eyes.

“I'm going to kill them.”

Grimm's thumb brushes my cheek again.

“Would you like help?”

My eyes pop open. He's completely serious. I laugh despite myself.

“No.”

“A pity.”

“You are a terrible influence.”

His gaze drops to my mouth again.

“My Enchantress, you have no idea.”

And just like that, I remember we were talking about later.

So does my body.

Chapter Twenty-One

Sitting on a stone bench outside an Academy dance while the man I’m pretty sure I’m falling in love with crouches at my feet and explains that the universe apparently gave my love life a final exam is, in short, confusing as fuck.

Then something that's been sitting in the back of my brain finally elbows its way to the front.

“Wait.”

Grimm's eyebrows rise.

“Are you really a prince?”

A slow smile spreads across his face.

“I am.”

I stare at him.

“Like an actual prince?”

“Is there another kind?”

“Don't get smart with me. I'm processing a lot.”

His smile widens.

“Yes, Agatha. I'm an actual prince. Prince Grimm Palermo.”

Holy shit.

I slept with a prince.

Technically, I also fed him chocolate in the woods and scratched behind his ears, so I feel like that balances things out.
