“Aww,” she said as she took hold of his flaccid member. “Not excited to see me?” she mused. “I can fix that.”

“Shut the fuck up,” he growled as he closed his eyes.

He didn’t want to hear her or see her. She wasn’t the one he desired. He didn’t need her to remind him of what he couldn’t have. He’d take what he could get. That had always been his motto.

“Someone’s a grumpy Gus.”

Annoyed, Kid plopped his empty hand atop her head and shoved her down on his soft dick to quiet her.

Her mouth was warm and silky. She used her tongue like a professional.

He let his head fall back with a groan as he wrapped her hair around his fist. Doing his best to ignore how crunchy it felt, he willed his erection to rise as he guided her along his lack of length.

Normally, anyone who got this close to his dick would be choking on it. He was no stranger to stuffing his cock into a throat or two.

Not today.

Her hands were too wide on his thighs. Her hair felt like straw in his hand. Her suction and rhythm were wrong.

With a grunt, he thrust his hips up into her face.

She reared but didn’t even gag.

Kid wasn’t hard.

She wasn’t doing it for him.

Releasing her, he pushed her off him.

Peering up at him, she used the back of her hand to wipe some of her drool. “How much have you had to drink?” she asked.

“Not enough,” he snarled and got off the couch. Furious, he tugged his pants into place.

She scrambled to her feet as he stomped toward the bar.

Carrie’s smile flashed through his mind. The image of her naked body stretched out on her bed while he feasted on her delicious cunt danced in his mind. He could practically hear her panting and whimpering as she came while riding his cock in her bed.

Vanessa wasn’t Carrie.

He didn’t want Vanessa, and he couldn’t have Carrie.

So he did the next best thing.

Reaching over the counter, he swiped the bottle of vodka off the speed rail while Vanessa’s heels clacked behind him.

“Are you okay?” she asked.

After twisting the cap, he brought the bottle to his lips and threw it back. He chugged while she stood there wide-eyed and staring at him dumbfounded.

Did he look it? He wouldn’t be answering her.

The liquor burned, and his eyes watered. Before he retched, he stopped, pulling the bottle away and coughing through the alcohol burning his throat and gullet.

Frowning, Vanessa reached into her pocket. “I’m going to call Kev—”

“Leave me the fuck alone,” Kid hollered louder than he needed to.

Shaking his head, he marched past her and headed toward the hallway and to his room. The only way to get through this night was to black the fuck out. He didn’t need her around him for that. He had what that required—a bottle of booze and the will to forget.
