Levin sucked his teeth, pushed away from the table and got up.
“Bossy as fuck.”
“Clean as fuck.”
He went to the sink.
I smiled as I adjusted my shirt back into place.
That was when I heard footsteps upstairs.
Heavy ones.
A few seconds later, Xavier came down looking exactly like somebody who had just rolled the fuck out of bed.
Gray sweatpants hanging low.
No shirt.
Hair smashed on one side.
Eyes barely open.
He scratched his chest as he hit the bottom of the stairs, walked toward the kitchen and stopped dead when he saw his brother standing at the sink.
“Why the fuck you in my kitchen?”
Levin dried his hands on the towel and looked over at him.
“Because your wife feed me better than you answer your fucking phone.”
Xavier frowned.
“Nigga, I was sleep.”
“I noticed.”
Xavier looked at me and walked over, slid one arm around my waist from behind and pulled me against him.
“Morning.”
“It’s damn near eleven.”
“Still morning.”
“See?” Levin said. “That’s what I said.”
I looked between them.
“Of course y’all would agree on the dumb shit.”
Xavier kissed the side of my face.
His hand slid down and popped me on the ass.
I jumped.
“Xavier!”
