“Have fun?”

“Yup.”

I opened the door.

Cold November air hit me immediately.

And for the first time in a long fucking time, I walked out my house without a diaper bag, a baby on my hip, scrubs on my body or Xavier Lawless beside me.

Tonight, I was going outside.

And if a man looked?

Shit.

I might look the fuck back.

By the time we got to Playroom, I realized Nesha was a nasty fucking bitch.

The spot was tucked inside this big converted building down in Tribeca, Manhattan, and from the outside, you would’ve never guessed what the fuck was happening behind them dark-ass doors.

Inside?

Disgusting.

And I mean that in every possible fucking way.

Each floor had its own theme.

One was darker, red lights everywhere, music loud as hell, people dancing and drinking like a regular club except there were half-naked people mixed in.

Another floor had private rooms lining the hallway.

Some doors were closed.

Some weren’t.

And apparently nobody in this motherfucker believed in being quiet because there were moans coming from everywhere.

I grabbed Nesha’s arm.

“Bitch, where the FUCK you got me?”

She laughed so hard she almost spilled her drink.

“Bitch, relax!”

“RELAX? I just walked past somebody getting fucked!”

“And?”

“AND?!”

She grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the bar.

“Do whatever your wildest dreams ever dreamed of tonight, bitch.”

“My wildest dreams got health insurance and morals.”
